I'm 99% sure this is a simconnect issue. We'll have to wait for the next build.

  • On Avsim the world is upside down: You enjoy the sim, you get called all sorts of names.  You wallow in misery, you're a hero. 😄

  • You are being overdramatic for a beta test Stuff like this is expected, that's why they do these tests. Had this gone live to everyone I'd understand, but this is an optional beta. It's

  • Seems like anytime anything connects via Simconnect, the simulator crashes. Love your work, Asobo!

I mentioned in SU3 1.5.9 thread how I cured these CTD issues. It still holds in 1.5.10, no CTD's, is very stable.

QA most likely tests with a completely clean installs, no addons, no third party programs.

Well of course they do. It's all QA can do. Whilst it would be great to test with add-ons and third party programs it's just not feasible as it means repeating all the tests for each and every one of those extra add-ons and third party programs. QA just doesn't have the time to do that, not to mention the increased costs that would result.

From reading the thread it seems that that they need to mention having an empty exe.xml as well as the community folder.

Give people power to really test their personality.

Tried beta, it it is a continuous mess.

Never again.

Hi,

With this update SU3 1.5.10.0 my Logitech Multipanel (AP Panel) has stopped working.

Each update the same story: one step forward, two steps backwards!

Anyone else?

Greetings

For those getting CTD's, have you deleted the content of the Cache, Scenery Index and Streamed Packages folder? Its possible there are older files in there that are conflicting with the newer files.

did it but yet CTDs when loading a flight. have to admit though that I am using various 3rd party stuff like Fenix or iFly. So I accept to be grounded for hopefully not too long

Yes, I use Spadnext, gauges in cockpit change when dialing in information but the display on the panels remain at zero. Not a big deal in VR but something is a miss.

High end with 5090, VR, 2020 & 2024.

If you sell products on your OWN STORE, then you should be ensuring those don't break your base sim at the very least.

I know see how stellar SU 2 is!! No stutters and autoFPS lod 400 max no problem even at EGLL with fenix and Fsltl 90/10 total with parked 130 aircraft. Smooth FG 80 fps with my 12900/4090 rig 96gb ram.

Take beta, you get stutters on same settings when London skyline appears or fades. Disaster, totally unoptimized for addons.

I think if they could just fix the Simconnect issue, we could get back to some serious testing for them with the other products we use, because like I have said before, even a beta needs to be in a form that we can test without crashing out all of the time.

I can confirm I disabled everything other than the sim itself and the default Aircraft, and it doesn't seem too bad.
Default C152 Aerobat only up to now though, for about 45 minutes. no problem between Sedona to Flagstaff and back - settings 4k and absolutely maxed out, changed weather and time of day enroute - no CTD's.

Performance seems good, and I am loving the new night lighting with proper emissive strobes (at last!), although external aircraft lighting is still none existent in the day (which is a strange one), as I can't even see the new strobes - Weird!

I will continuing to test and persevere with it tonight after work, as I really want to get the Starship installed for the weekend.

I like to trick airline passengers into thinking I have my own swimming pool in my back yard by painting a large blue rectangle on my patio.
