Who else fully moved over to MSFS2024 this week?

If you do not care, why are you here? Go and vent somewhere else.

  • I'm reading posts from those who are staunch advocates of 2024 and continue to 'big up' the sim, saying what a great experience it is, then I continue to hear about all the issues guys are having whic

  • The 'controls set up being so bad in MSFS2024'  is a completel falacy in my opinion. During MS2024's "difficult period" (which no-one is denying) there were problems where configured controls wou

In the thread? Because it isn't actually all about you and other people have posted things too. Why do you think anyone wants a running commentary on whether or not you will get MSFS2024?? It's been going on for months. And it's not like it will stop once you finally actually do it, we will then have to hear all about the journey in great detail every single day.

Putting someone on ignore really doesn't work when they are quoted all the time and it's very hard to ignore when it becomes such a soap opera and dominates the whole thread. Please, give us all a break for Christmas.

On a side note, I was surprised to discover that I have a total of 2729 hours in MSFS 2020, and that was from November 2023 up to yesterday. To be honest, that figure does not make a lot of sense, as it is almost 4 hours per day

But how many times do you have the SIM running and you've wandered off to go do something else for several hours. I know i've gone to bed and left it running overnight sometimes too, cause I can't be bothered to turn off the computer.....

Those hours can add up....

We are all connected..... To each other, biologically...... To the Earth, chemically...... To the rest of the Universe atomically.

At this point i only have 2020 so my orbx/contrails apps let me keep my 2020 scenery. Then use addon linker to link to 2024.

Based on the fact that Microsoft did not offer a discount on the Steam version of Flight Simulator 2024 during the Black Friday sales, and they are not offering a discount in the current Christmas sale, is there any chance that we will see it reduced in price at some point over the Christmas holidays, or am I whistling Dixie?

@Christopher Low

MSFS 2020 was first on sale exactly a year after it was released. So there is hope that MSFS 2024 could have a sale soon. Hopefully. I am waiting too.

Is there a setting that will enable me to start in the cockpit, and avoid that walk around stuff?

😶 You can't start in the cockpit like every other sim out there?

Sorry, I'm still on 2020 and stuff like this makes me stay put....😣

Press Shift-C when you spawn in next to the aircraft. Instantly in the cockpit, and takes 2 secs

That's stupid. There should be an option to start right on the cockpit. ALWAYS!

13600KF - AIO - 32GB DDR4 - RTX4070 - UW1440p GSync - USB DAC - 2TB NVMe - Windows 11 Pro - Gladiator NXT EVO - 1 Gbps Fiber  - MSFS 2024

The walkaround mode is actually pretty cool with something like the Fenix where you can wander around the aircraft and interact with it, walk up the stairs, open the door, walk inside etc. I agree though with most aircraft it's probably more convenient to start in the flight deck. There is a tool on flightsim.to to hide the 'enter aircraft' message which is nice for immersion.

Complain to MS then.
