Not a chance! There is no way I will postpone a vacation due to an FSX addon. It will be here when I get back. That's not to say I wont think about the said addon while I am on vacation, but at least I will have something to look forward to when I get home.Sean Campbell

My wife and I are on our way to Maui in three weeks for our thirtieth anniversary. If I tell her we're not going because a FS addon aircraft is being released, I doubt that there will be a thirty first anniversary. I don't think they'll sell out before we get back.

As it's been pointed out,Its don't "plan" not don't 'take" ....... So that was 3 weeks ago now so it''s anyone's guess to what PMDG mean, week's, months even a year.But best of all is to not even ask as you will get a stream of put down. Just don't ask ........lol Also from a MD-11 beta tester above, he says the NGX is not in beta, and we where told it was going to beta on Monday, but that Monday was weeks ago.So.....just take what ever PMDG tell you with regard to a release with a pinch mountain of salt. All we can do is wait.

No, really. I had the same processor you do at a much higher clock with a much, much better graphics card.... FS9 was the only sim I was happy running. :( If you enjoy lower autogen in sparse areas when you run complex add ons, then sure; you're correct. But I don't like to handicap my sim.I'm getting the feeling I'll be pulling a few sliders back when I have the NGX in heavily populated cities. Can't wait to find out, though.

Dang, there goes my theory that the NGX was in Beta and had not yet been reported to us (based on Robert's post). Like I said before, this is why I never bet. :(

I'm so amused by the "You had a core 2 so there's no way you enjoyed your flight sim experience" position. An opinion stated as fact never fails to make me smile. That's what I'm running and I'm getting a solid 30fps flying MD11 in the VC with the sliders maxed, aside from autogen which is at medium. I don't feel like I've sacrificed at all, since when I'm low enough to see the autogen, my focus is on the approach/departure.

I think that's clearly not what he was trying to say. Perceived performance aside, 775<1366<1155. Thus we have 775<<1155 (QED!). It's that simple. I came from a Q9550 - I really enjoyed it and 95% of the time I got just as much enjoyment out of it as my 2600k. It's just those times landing at large airports and flying near dense scenery that sets the 2600k apart.

My simming stops in June, thats when I become a belly flopping, speedo wearing, bbq eating, beer drinking maniac. Summer is to short up here in Canada eh! unless you live in BC. I'll get my NGX in the fall, I hope.
