iniBuilds A350 Airliner Teaser | Microsoft Flight Simulator

I’ll be buying this it looks incredibly detailed.

If after flying it I decide I like the aircraft I’ll possibly put my name down for a fleet transfer to go and fly the real A350.

I hope inibuilds realise this isn’t a game, it’s people’s real lives their messing with !😀

  • Fair to be skeptical, but FWIW, the full motion A350 simulator is but one part of multiple sources of data and expertise they're drawing upon: https://forum.inibuilds.com/topic/23569-summer-surprises-

In other words: You cannot correctly model a system with realistic depth if you only can look at it from the "outside"

I hear you. But honestly, if they can achieve the "effect" of having the systems modeled correctly...I don't really care. From a pilot's perspective, sure, we've gotta know how the system works, but only insofar that it can help us understand what comes next. QRH's/ECL's pretty much tell you what to do in the event something breaks. If you get too detailed, it'd probably eat into performance running all of those background calculations...but if they can model various systems to behave as they should (from a pilot's perspective) that's A-OK to me! In flight sim, your computer's gotta render the plane/systems AND the world. And in real life, the matrix has to render our world, each PC, and the world of the PC including this A350. It'd break the universe 😂

Ok, it's (or will be) a A350, but will it be the -900 or the -1000, or both?.

Cheers, Ed

Its finally a dream coming true, wished for this aircraft for years. Instant buy, MSFS & iniBuilds are just blowing it out of the water.

I'm much more worried about performance, their track record shows they are abysmal in regards to performance. I totally don't see them model the avionics bay and all those pretty systems and yet have it perform better than the simple old school A300.

Keep seeing people say about their poor performance, just picked up their A300 and can't say it's any worse than any other addon for me.

Don't know if their latest patch made massive improvements or something else...

Oh man, you make you jealous. I always enjoy your insight on these forums knowing you get to engage with the real deal. If and when you get to fly this bird, I’d love to know what you think!!

This will be the only long haul aircraft worthy enough to be on my computer.

I pretty much fly only GA, but if the price is right I will buy this thing just to look at it and push buttons and listen to the sounds. Looks really impressive in the teaser trailer. Love the inclusion of the avionics bay.

Looking really good  from the previews. And even better that there is actual evidence of it flying in the sim, unlike the other 350 in development. Hopefully the end of year release target is on track still.

I'm very sceptical that this will lead to a an actual correct systems depth. That's like eating 100 pots of Spaghetti Bolognese in order to "guess" the recipe.

If you need to eat 100 plates of Pasta Bolognese to figure out the ingredients, then I dunno what to tell you.

The lack of *true* navigraph support keeps me away from buying their aircraft add-ons. If the A350 still has the same limitations as their current offerings, I will most probably forego this one, too.

If anyone wonders what the limitations are: https://forum.navigraph.com/t/missing-nav-data-in-latest-airac/15310/4

I also hope they make use of 3D scanning techniques for the modeling, as the top guys in the airliner bizz (Fenix, PMDG) seem to be doing lately. I think it makes a huge difference. The (admittedly early) previews of the A350 nose section gave me the shudders.

I hope they pull this one off. Not sure anybody else will even try to tackle an A350. I sure wish them success.

Rest assured. We have heard the community's words quite loudly regarding challenges with past performance across all our product lines.

We are actively working to refine performance as well as take full advantage of tools in the native sdk to keep things light and efficient. We also have a team 90+ deep of testers with all manner of PC configs, so don't think we write for i9 KF chips and 4090's exclusively. 😉  As someone earlier said. The proof will be in the pudding, and this should taste great!

Steve, thanks for coming and posting on here.  It is great to hear about the work being done on optimising performance.  I am sure it is appreciated by the vast majority. as you can see by the amount of likes your post got.

It can be a tough crowd here sometimes due to the way flight-simmers can be quite demanding, but please don't be shy of posting here whenever you like.
Its great to hear things from the developers perspective, and the feedback you gave is very reassuring.
