The release of FSX, with its abysmal performance, comes very close or even surpasses this. Also, remember the textures? The whole world looked like a desert! It also took a while before SP1 was released. It turned out ok in the end though, as will MSFS 2024.

Cheers, Bert

It looks ok, but I thought the ground visuals were going to be stunning from the preview videos and they are naff compared to MSFS 2020, trees everywhere just like the first iterations of 2020; it would actually be difficult to navigate VFR using 24 because the features/buildings aren't identifiable - they are in 2020.

I thought this was supposed to be building on what they've learned from 2020 but this just seems like a poorer copy of 2020 at the moment. I can't see any improvement at all.

That said, God love them for trying and I thank Asobo for their efforts - they've given the hobby a much-needed boost. 24 has an awfully long way to go though, which has really surprised me.

I’m certain things will improve however due to bad internet at the house this afternoon I went back to FS202o and I must admit it was like a breath of fresh air.

Angry? Nah, I’ve been doing this since the mid 90’s and I haven’t seen a bigger train wreck than this, all could have been avoided if they planned this properly and they didn’t, so someone needs to be accountable for this.

Hm, i been doing this since the 80's and believe me i've seen worse things in the industry.

Regarding the roll-out trouble which only lasted for 1 day(!) tell me what makes you say things like heads should roll etc.?
Why would 1 day matter so much that you're even getting all revengeful towards MS? I'm inclined to think this says more about you than about the event itself.

13 minutes to load into the sim.  Nothing is better.

Yeah, my loading times were less than 3 minutes but last day and a half, they are between 5 and 6 minutes. Seems right after the latest patch this coincidence happened?

Maybe just super heavy weekend traffic.

I am completely perplexed why there is such a wide range of experiences here. I am one of the one of the lucky ones (and I mean that, for some reason I am just lucky with very minimal issues) while others, with probably better systems then me, struggle.

I only have 50Mb/s at home. 3min load time and random jitters particularly in VR even at low GFX settings. I wonder if those having better experience have better internet speeds?

Well it seems that MS 2020, today is running terribly. Low FPS and Textures in the dumpster. I think I am going to quit flying MSFS if this continues.

I read your comment and I checked MS 2020 this morning on the XBOX Series X and I did not notice those graphics. It all looked normal. However the ATC went offline because of Azure issue so I got the robotic AI. I also tried MSFS 2024 on the Series X after the patch today and I did not notice any problems.

But I just downloaded the MS 2024 patch for the PC and mega problems. It crashed and locked up several times and I had missing gauges, blurry cockpit, and blurry scenery.

I'm getting the impression that Asobo are using the same server for both MS 2020 and 2024. I could be wrong but I would not be surprised and if that is the case, that would explain the high demands on their servers.

I paid $200 for a product I can’t use and frankly IDGAS what you or anyone else thinks I should think or expect, got it?

Am I the only one who learned from previous releases? Every single release of Flight Sim has been full of bugs since the first one and it takes 6 months to a year to get it cleaned up and usable, hang on to your money and wait it out, MSFS 2020 still works great!

I have tried to be patient.  Alas...this platform in its current state is a mess.     I will come back when things are better.  If they ever do.  I am really dissapointed in this release.  Back to 2020.

It's been working well for me. Not perfect, by any means, but well enough that I'm NOT even tempted to go back to v2020.

Hope to see you back soon.

I think you hit the nail on the head, I'm one of the lucky ones where apart from a few bugs, the difference is amazing, but i do have 900mbps fibre.
