Hmmm, seems hard to believe, specially considering this:

Enjoy your bug free sim 😄

You obviously have a wrong impression of everyday flightsimming in MSFS 2024. 🙂 I fly with the C172 or the Fenix A320 mostly and it works as well as in MSFS 2020. It only looks much better.

What sim are you using? MSFS2020? If so, does this list ruin your experience with it? It's the exact same link as yours but with the MSFS2020 tag added. As you can see MSFS2020 isn't bug free either. I only have MSFS2024 and I am enjoying every minute of it. I wouldn't think of ever getting back to MSFS2020. The list you linked to certainly doesn't affect my enjoyment. Yes, there are bugs but so there are in MSFS2020. No real problem. Lists like these have nothing to with 'everyday flightsimming' as crimplene put it.

I tried a trip from LSZH to LSZC in the SR22 using MK Zurich and it does look good  I will explore Switzerland like this. Using ASFS in passive mode. I had fog in one end of the airport and clear visibliity in the other end. I am not that good with G1000 so i need some learning here. The SR22 is rather sofisticated in this navigation suite .

Only one that I have is the EFB not working in VR and the mouse bug(wich I also had in 2020). Not using career mode so those bugs doesnt affect me… So yeah, Im enjoying a mostly bug free sim and great improvements… I actually had more bugs in 2020 than in the new sim… I guess the career mode bugs can be gamebreaking, but in 2020 there is no career, so what gamebreaking issues do people have when just using free flight?

It’s funny, I was thinking exactly the same earlier today. What a coincidence 😅

7950X3D | RTX 4090 | 64GB DDR5

On the basket weaving forums they are arguing over plaiting versus coiling, as usual. Plaiting is so 20th century!

 9950X3D - X870E Aorus Master- TUF 5090 OC - 64GB DDR5 - 1500W HXi - Titan 360 RX LCD - 9100 Pro x 2  - LG 45GX950A - HOTAS Warthog with Ava Base

The minute someone starts questioning 2024 looking better than 2020, just know you shouldn't waste your time further.

5800X3D. 32 GB RAM. 1TB SATA SSD. 3TB HDD. RX  9070XT.

The number '2020' looks better than '2024' to me but that's about it.

I'm just genuinely puzzled as to why people are having such varying experiences.  2024 is my only sim and I am simply not running into bugs.  I'm sure there are many, but I'm not running into them like others are.

I just flew the COWS Da 42 a bunch of free flights.  The only "issue" is the 2024 pilots not loading (super common in 2020 aircraft ported over).  Otherwise, every system works as I remember it and it flies as well as before.

No stutters, no crashes.  Weather is improved and the visuals are better on my system to where there's not even any doubt.

Now, the one thing I have done is to check the compatibility of EVERY addon I load into 2024 for compatibility.  If the developer isn't talking about 2024 yet or mentioned compatibility, I hold off.  Simple as that.

We were told "everything will work!" - obviously that is not the case.  Stop trying to copy all your addons in from 2020.  A little bit of research goes a long way.  I'm also loading scenery and a few aircraft only.  The only utilities are shift-z and Navigraph charts (both working in 2024).

I haven't changed my rolling cache size or much else from default.  Granted I bought myself a high end PC this Black Friday, so I'm running ultra high at 60+ fps.

The other thing - I am using free flight only.  I've only flown a few flights in career mode.  That seems buggy at best.  I have little interest in a mode that locks me into defaut aircraft anyway.

Off the top of my head my incompatible plane list: (The ones I care about)

Just Flight 146, f28, Hawk, P28 x 4

FSS e175, e195

TFDi MD11

I find it astonishing that Asobo did not take the trouble to test these expensive and popular addon aircraft and do the decent thing by issuing a simple warning to its loyal customers along the lines of, please be aware that if you purchase 2024 the following planes will not be compatible....

This claptrap is truly over the top...smh.

ALL developers said they had NO IDEA if their addons would work straight away on v2024. Every. Single. One. (other than iniBuilds and other "insiders" developing Defaults for v2024).

Asobo has exactly ZERO obligation to test ANY addon for compatibility, let alone the "expensive and popular" ones.

YOU DO. YOU are the one who bought the addon for a different, older version of the simulator. YOU are the one who needs to ensure your Third Party software is ready for prime time on a new sim platform before you jump into the new simulator.

All those "expensive" addons we buy are software products NOT developed by Asobo. They are simulators in and of themselves, and it is up to the particular 3PD's to code well in the first place.

And if you've been simming for as long as you say, then you shame on you for asserting anything else, because you surely should know BETTER.

It's ALWAYS a word not allowed shoot as to whether any particular addon will work in the next major version of the sim. We see it in every single flight sim major release: MSFS, X-Plane, Prepar3D, DCS World, etc).

Some addons work just fine, some don't work at all.

What it comes down to is how well the 3PD's hew to the development framework. Thus you have devs like iniBuilds, Fenix, FS Reborn, Got Friends, A2A Sims, Top Mach Studios, CAS, Flight FX, and yes, even Just Flight's RJ (and Vulcan) and a constantly growing list of others who are rapidly coming onboard the new platform.

"Should" MS/Asobo have shared private dev builds with at least the most prominent 3PD's...? Yes, absolutely.

BUT what's TRULY "astonishing" is that 3PD's like PMDG continue to code any old way they want to, and then when that old dog habit bites them hard, they (and SOME of their customers) have the unmitigated gall to blame Asobo. Geez - talk about the Pots calling the Kettle, "black"...

Any one of us who went into this truly expecting ANY addon was going to work seamlessly on Day One is lacking critical thinking skills.

Meanwhile, Asobo included a MINIMUM of SEVENTY addons for us to fly, plus literally dozens more with the upgraded versions of the sim. And at least as far as the genuinely new v2024 Defaults, they are all VERY well executed addons delivering payware-quality experiences.

I haven't even had the time to try all the new ones, let alone get bored with them. I'm so busy experiencing all the new sim has to offer that I barely care that PMDG, et al. can't figure out how to make their stuff work properly (which problem is their self-inflicted wound, anyway).

The only reason I re-installed v2020 was so that I could take advantage of the holiday sale prices. I've since cranked it up once or twice, but I find it rather unsatisfying now that I've spent so much time in v2024. I.e., I'm having a better, more immersive time in v2024 with all the "cheap", included addons flying in a vastly improved digital world that I just don't miss PMDG, et al.

I mean, if you can't enjoy all the new stuff the sim has to offer while you wait just a short time for your favorite devs to update their addons for compatibility, I'm simply flabbergasted...
