How refreshing to find an overwhelmingly positive 2024 thread. I don't do beta's after a disastrous and stressful experience with the old sim but I'm looking forward to SU1 dropping.

Yay!  I was having hard time finding the aircraft I was looking for (Aviators Edition 2024).

it seems that the crash on exiting the flight of the Inibuilds airplanes is solved, but the one wing bent bug is still there.

Is the aggressive low LOD still present? It’s all fine and dandy having good looking scenery, but if it doesn’t load in until you’re on top of it during taxi/landing/takeoff etc then it isn’t much use.

I don't know, seems like a lot of simulation of flight to me. Last time you made this comment turns out, FS24 was somehow a GA sim because YOU couldn't fly the planes you want, ignoring the already existing airliners that work in the sim.

well this all sounds very positive and I cannot wait to try when I get home, how are those 114mph winds feeling in NI right now?

My local airport is pretty much closed, EGNT, due to the wind. I just tested the new MSFS 24 sim update beta, I was able to take off and land. I tried the same flight in XP12 and couldn't get off the ground without being ragged all over the place due to gusts. (with a baron GA aircraft)

IIRC this is the first time such a long list of fixes doesn't move me one pixel towards even checking them out. Now, where's MSFS2028 to see if they learned the lesson?

I am not, if people can't handle opinions, scroll on by. It isn't hard. 

I was answering a question with feedback, and advising of my findings. I never said one was better than the other. I was simply advising what I have found. If I had other sims installed, I would test those too. It is a major storm, so I wanted to check how each sim depicts it. He asked how was the weather. I gave my answer.

Why do I even have to explain that? Aren't we all adults here?

Well, the question you answered was about MSFS 2024, how the winds were handled in the SU1 beta. I don't think it was part of the question to compare to another sim. All good. Bye.

Just completed a flight around EGLC in C172, did a couple touch and goes, can't duplicate what you see. I have great sharp scenery whether I'm landing or flying around the city. Great improvement with new Beta. Looking forward to the progress of 2024 in the future. Even though I still have my full install of 2020 ready, I can't go back. 2024 has me mesmerize.
