May 15, 20251 yr Here in the US and just fired up MSFS2024. No prompt for update. Never been on beta. May 15, 20251 yr I guess I have been lucky, Five minutes from the time I pressed Play in Steam to being at the Main Menu. I had been current on the Beta but am very pleased with the new SU 2. TLOD@300 OLOD@200 All other settings High except Clouds and Buildings at Ultra. DLSS with FG and no synch. Frame rate locked at 30 and see a very steady 60 using Intel Present Mon. Landing at highly detailed add on airports with FSLTL set at max I do see FPS drop from 60 to 10 or even 8 for about 2-seconds and then the sim seems to overcome the VRAM over commitment and the FPS works it's way back to 60 within 5-seconds. I can watch the VRAM overcommitment in PResent Mon real time and see it go up and then down very quickly - something that did not happen in the Beta. 128GB rolling cache and 128GB Map Enhancement cache - the next time I land at the airport which caused the FPS drop - the sim stays at a steady 60. Overall - I am very happy with the new FS 2024. I have Texture Resolution at High - moving it to Medium ensures no FPS drop on final and moving it to Ultra brings the sim to it's knees for an extended period of time. May 15, 20251 yr No problems updating but still get stutters, extreme flickering and camera panning/shifting issues with DLSS + FG on my RTX 4060 8GB Lenovo Legion 5 laptop. It might be a duplicate of my Fulcrum yoke which is also listed as expected. Is there any way I can delete the vJoy device entry? EDIT: I unplugged all my controllers except the keyboard and mouse, and the vJoy Device was still listed in my controller's device list. Very strange. Al The vJoy controller is a virtual joystick driver--it allows programs to control joystick axes/buttons that are presented to the PC via the driver as a hardware joystick. If you didn't install it yourself, some other program that makes inputs to the sim or perhaps a game may have. If you want/need to remove it, Go to Devices and Printers -> Devices, select the vjoy device and then remove this device. Hi Bob, I did find the vJoy Device in the Devices and Printers list, but deleting it and restarting the computer and sim did not remove it from the FS2024 controllers device list. But you gave me a great clue so I next went to the Device Manager and found the vjoy device 'hiding' in the HID list. Removing it from there fixed the problem in that it no longer shows up in the FS2024 Devices List. Thanks very much for the help! Al

May 16, 20251 yr Well I always planned to install 2024 when SU2 dropped but looking like it will need to be SU3 or beyond! Bruce Bruce Bartlett Frodo: "I wish none of this had happened."
