Just like the Bonanza. I did have a bit of a problem finding the keys though! 🙄 (No, I did not RTFM. Jump straight in is my style.

Oh as far as profiles for switches etc. My BS Bonanza profile is perfect.

On a personal note, my heart rate wasn't as elevated as I thought it would be. Sucker for hype I guess. Still, it's nice and it'll be used..,A lot.

You missed off the reason I gave. Sucker for hype. For the last two weeks of so we've been bombarded with videos that reminded me of Scott Gentile's presentation style. You know the one. smooth. seductive, trust me. 😉

That led me and I'll bet many others to expect 'Special'. Or maybe even Extra special.

That all makes me look as though I'm unhappy with the 114. I'm definitely NOT unhappy. As I'm not unhappy with ANY of BlackSquare's output.

As a matter of interest were YOU expecting something more?

I plan to run it without FSRealistic, at least at first. If I think it needs something else later, I can always add in FSRealistic.

Well, for me, I am fully enjoying this BS Commander so far. The cockpit is different enough for me to keep me interested, and I really like how she is flying.

Cant get it till tonight. I am on the East coast. Still working. Really just hoping it really feel like I am in the airplane. The rest I am not worried about.
That is such a finicky thing for lack of a better word and so hard to achieve.

The one that hooked me was the aerodynamics vid. A very impressive demonstration.

But then I remembered I already have a Hi Fi aerobatic addon that I don’t fly often enough (and never as an aerobat until now(!)).

So, thankfully I’ve escaped the hype bubble and am still having a ton of fun in my poor old (formerly) neglected plane 😎

Nick will definitely get my $$ for the King Air, so I’m not worried for him or me in that regard 😁

Just HAD to try the Green and Gold version first, looks fantastic just sitting on the ground at O33!

I was definitely expecting something special, and Black Square definitely delivered something special.

I keep seeing people ask "how is this literally any different from a Bonanza" which really confounds me. It's an entirely different plane with almost nothing in common with a Bonanza except two wings and a tail. They just spent a week releasing videos showing all the ways its different than the Bonanza. Can't please everyone, I suppose...

For one, this feels like a significant improvement over the BS Bonanza Pro and I like the four seater sport coupe more anyway.

Absolutely.

The same people who will pay $70 just to get a 737-700 external model of exactly the same airliner (PMDG) they already own will say "There's no point in getting the Commander, I already have a piston single; the Bonanza" 😄

You're so right. I didn't even think about that. There are so many models of the same airliners I can't even keep track anymore. I see someone asking about developing a whole new A310, and only then do I realize they mean an A310-200 instead of an A310-300.

To me, a 114 and an A36 couldn't be more different but to each their own. I'm certainly very impressed with it so far and I think it will remain my favorite even if the new features comes to the Bonanza Pro.

I mean the subject matter , the 114 , is a single engine piston, it’s never going to set the world on fire with it’s performance.

However it’s an absolutely cracking simulation of said aircraft and has that genuine “flying a real aircraft” feel to it I’ve been really craving recently.

I’ve spent the evening flying circuits in the 114 at Guernsey and watched dusk turn in to night, I didn’t want to stop. I can definitely see what Developer Nick means when he says it has a warm cosy feel to the cockpit at night, paraphrasing.

Each of my landings was slightly different, which is surely the sign of a brilliant flight model.I’ve not suffered the wheel shimmy yet .. which is surely the sign of brilliant technique 😉

The 114 aircraft is like a PA28R with a bit more character to it, I’d also put it up there along side the A2A Comanche. In fact I’d put it ahead as I can’t use the Comanche at the moment due to a bug in its flight model which keeps sending random violent heaves to my motion platform.

The engine sounds are really, really nice too.
