Knock on wood I've completed several flights and so far everything has been running pretty good. My framerate is configured for 99fps (33x3) and I've only dropped down to 90 a few times, never below. I've had no CTD's and everything has been pretty smooth. RNAV works great and ILS can be finiky if enabled at the wrong time. I'm looking forward to the update coming on Tuesday.

Instead for blaming the community, I would look at the Youtube videos promoting this aircraft. None of the early access reviewer said anything about bugs and performance. Yeah, they talked about missing features, but so what?

And, if you'll notice, those videos are heavily edited; suggesting numerous restarts. Also, these reviewer have massively powered rigs which most of us do not.

So, don't blame the community, blame the review system (this is true of most YouTube reviews for all games).

Yeah no body can get a grasp on how the 220 will run when all the streamers, most of them all have $4,000 PCs.

The vast majority of non-essential purchases made by people are made on an emotional basis. People want enjoyment and happiness. They have hope that it will perform to their expectations. I agree with almost everything you stated. I think there there needs to be some separation from the youtubers who have received promotional copies and are showcasing upcoming releases and a different type of youtuber who is willing to use their own money to purchase items shortly post release of a product and as objectively as possible "grade" a product against certain established expected guidelines and protocols. I used to watch some of the more popular flightism you-tubers when 2020 was released but over time my interest has faded as it appears that their original "review orientation" over time has shifted to being a part of the pre release showcase rather than giving an easily digestible honest evaluation of products they have received.

I also get why Fluffytops blames the community in some way.. but i don't think its going to change much going forward. The devs are running a business and im sure their utmost interest is to get a return on investment and some are going to use the hype to maximize that. On the other hand some business manage to get their ROI while their ethics dictate that their product meets their own high standards and the standards of their customers expectations before product release.

As it specifically relates to this A220? I'm in a wait and see on how best they polish this product up and will provide them some grace as they are young and new. Not everyone can do a Fenix and not everyone has a historical library full of highly polished and optimized code they can pull, modify and re apply as required. At the same time one can only hope that this dev has taken a few lessons from this experience on what to do and what not to do and improve next time around.

One can only hope the Bluebird release goes a bit better.

My first impressions of the this product after having flown few flights - There is still room for improvement. There are several issues ranging from performance to FMS. Sounds are quite good and I personally like the engines howling sound during spool up. Manually flying this is great - The speed trim logic works spot on, So much so that I did some manual test flying between FL200 and FL300 and found the plane to be responding appropriately. The nose does have tendency to drop down quite quickly on touchdown - I'm not too sure if that's how real plane does but many people are saying that's accurate.

Yeah if the developers can optimise this further and fix the errors and bugs then this will be a great plane to do short to medium hauls in.

If a product getting bug fixes means it’s unfinished, then nearly every piece of software ever released is unfinished.

I beg to differ that unfourtanetly - on their discord server there are loads of bug reports ranging from performance to FMS to WASM crashes. The fact that they had to release a patch soon after release to address the FMS route page lagging issue - Again don't know why this was not picked up during beta testing. With another update lined up next Tuesday addressing the performance and WASM issues - Yeah this is not what I would call a "finished product"

It is great addon I must add - but they do need to address the issues raised.

It is great addon I must add - but they do need to address the issues raised.

That pretty much shows that the "pre-release" version streams are getting, is the release version.

Its pure marketing. Nothing more.

Yeah, I'm going to hold off on this. Some bugs for a new release are normal, but this appears to approach dumpster fire levels of bugginess. I'm super disappointed because I was really looking forward to this one.

Wish the A220 was career mode compatible and for Xbox users-load in MSFS default 3D pax into the cabin as Xbox is sandboxed, meaning Xbox has nothing like the excellent GSX Pro for more than default ground services which Xbox hasn't got-only the default via ATC and its seated passengers which PC will enjoy once the A220 rolls on out on iniManager and FSDT enables such on their side.

I can't be that picky, right and gosh the A220 is awesome so far.

Bring on next week and v1.0.3!
