  1. Just my two cents.... have you actually figured out what your limiting factor is? I would assume you limiting factor is the GPU... Are you e.g. getting a VRAM message in-sim? A 16GB GPU for a 4K application is alright on paper - but especially in MSFS2024, VRAM is heavily utilized with additional stuff. Have you actually tried to run it on a smaller resolution monitor? You could get more VRAM - a 24 or 32GB VRAM GPU would be nice but is really expensive. A "relatively" cheap option would be a AMD 7900XTX with 24GB VRAM. These were released in 2022 - so maybe you can get one used for a good price and sell your 4070Ti to limit any additional costs... The 7900XTX is actually competing with a 4080 in pure rasterization - so it is not a bad choice for a GPU at all. But - First thing I would recommend to try to improve your situation - using the render scaling option in the graphic settings - basically telling your GPU your monitor has a smaller resolution and then scaling it up to your 4K. You could start moving down in 10% increments like 90%, 80%,... to see if you are seeing improvements. Maybe limiting you frame rate with 2x frame generation - maybe 30/60 - or 15/30 - nothing to wild... Check you usual subjects in a VRAM limited scenario (TLOD, OLOD, Texture resolution, clouds, reytraced shadows...). I actually started on a LOW preset, working my way up with must have and nice to have graphic settings. Some of these settings seems to require e restart (e.g. texture resolution).... Try closing anything you might have open on the side on your PC. (big VRAM users are Volanta, web-browsers, PDF / office software (maybe a checklist open?))... As for your struggle with heavy inibuilds airports - there is a lot of objects the sim has to keep "in mind" (VRAM) so these are not just popping in when changing your view.... logically having individual chairs in terminal buildings is not helping here. I personally gave up on buying bigger detailed airports, especially if they have detailed interior. For me personally - for me it's just not worth compromising the flying experience. Maybe it is alright using a bush-plane - but a lot of people are having issues with more complex airliners and AI traffic. But then again, sometimes i think MSFS was not programmed with airliner operation in mind considering the quality of ATC, weather depiction or the handling of complex sceneries. And the last thought ... I've never checked / monitored my VRAM usage in 2020 - ever. I have the feeling that a 16GB GPU in MSFS2024 is a general limitation and needs tinkering to find a good setting. Don't know if that is a feature or a bug - so there is a chance that everything will be just peachy with SU6... and then again gone with SU7 - one never knows. I've personally got MSFS2024 after SU5 - but I've followed the discussions since release.
  2. Personally and as many have already said - I find the standard edition enough. However - you can buy single planes from the deluxe and the premium deluxe versions in the marketplace. But not all of them - e.g. I cannot find the Saab 340. You can also upgrade later to a deluxe or premium deluxe versions in the marketplace. So nothing is lost when starting with the standard edition.
  3. I am using FSHud with the AIG models & flightplans. I like FSHud as an ATC a lot and the traffic injection works alright too. Planes following active SID / STARS with reasonable distancing.
  4. I was only referring to my own experiences and I was answering the OP. I'm sorry I was not thinking of you and your HJET. I'll remember next time! 😂
  5. I got MSFS2024 during the last sale. Went for the Standard edition - figured the only extra plane I would be interested in is the Saab 340 and this is still a mess in my understanding. After now 38h in SU4 - mostly flown the BS Caravan professional (not bush flying so far): While the closer areas look superior in 24, mountains & areas in the distance look inferior. Also - 24 has a LOT more trees - like a ton. Performance with my PC (9800X3d. 64GB RAM, 6950XT 16GB both, windows & the sim on dedicated PCIE4 SSDs) on 3440x1440 is actually worse in 2024. Might be that have not found my sweet-spot concerning the settings yet but I'm on medium with some high/ultra settings according to online guides & photogrammetry off. I even get a VRAM warning in the 2024 sim when at the stock Princess Juliana Airport (TNCM) in the Caravan. That never happened to me ever in 2020 even on bigger 3rd party airports with AIG traffic like KSDF or KMEM using the iniBuild A300.. Of these 38 hours - I spent a lot with the control set-up. With all due respect - that is an utter ****show trying to get my Honeycomb Alpha & Bravo and Saitek pedals going. Tried the set-up only for the Caravan and the iniBuild A300 so far. But there is stuff I just cannot get my mind behind. I got a working set-up now with a lot of YouTube guides but it is still not where I want it to be. It is stable - had two crashed to desktop but I think I have to be more patient and wait for stuff because of the always online loading times (I'm on the 150Mbit line). I really don't like the avatars - They all look like idiots. Maybe the one in 2020 are not customizable but at least they look normal. (that is of course a personal thing...) Not all my flights get logged for some reason. My BS Caravan cannot seem to remember the hours and EFB settings. (looks like a problem om the MSFS side according to the BS forum, have not tried other planes) I still have not figured out how to move my community folder - it is on my C drive (windows installation) not my sim drive. That is ...unfortunate... since is getting big fast- I am only using Free flight - not interested in anything else. So I cannot comment on the rest. But I'm still getting used to the new hangar system - seems overly complicated when looking for planes & liveries... The free flight map - can the clouds be deactivated? I really have to zoom in to get a clear view of the airports & parking... There is more - that is just from the top of my head... I'll probably get used to it - but then after 40 hours I probably should be already. But I'm not. Knowing this now - I would not have purchased the sim (yet) even at a discount. I am still happy with my 2020 install - and frankly I still see not enough of an improvement to switch. Just my 2 cents....
  6. It looks like you're going for the classics - so I could recommend the inibuilds A300. Great simulation and still a fair amount of real world ops taking place too like I like to do (DHL, UPS, FedEx) . Also at a decent price for two engine versions + Pax and Cargo.
  7. I just uploaded a collection of RASS flight plans for Little Navmap to flightsim.to These flights are Remote Air Services Subsidy (RASS) flights - better known as the Mail Plane in Australia. Flight services are provided by AviAir, ChartAir and Northern Territory Air Services (NTAS). ChartAir & NTAS are actually providing RASS flight schedules online. AviAir schedules are logged via the Flightaware website. Flights are all over Australia and most airfields are dirt strips. Most of these flights are flown using Cessna Caravans. I have been collecting and flying these routes for a couple of years now and maybe you guys are interested. I only have MSFS2020 and not all airports are available i MSFS. So the download includes scenery files for the missing airports - but only for 2020. GG
  8. I always considered the Caravan (and all its variants) as so iconic, its kind of essential for a flight sim. Same for the Beaver and the C185. While the BS 208 is superb, I'm very happy that somebody is taking this on with all variants and in the quality it deserves. I was definitely missing the dedicated cargo and floats variants. I haven't read anything about the the new Caravan in a long time. One of my (i hope) 2026 highlights. I can highly recommend to recreate the "Classic Outback Pub Crawl" as offered by "Outback by Air" (check google, they have other great tours too). I did that in MSFS2020 not that long ago using the BS Caravan, created a Bushtrip for it. Great trip! Other really great real-world bushtrips using the Caravan are the RASS routes (mail plane) in Australia. e.g. check ChartAir (VH-TYH, VH-NGK) or Northern Territory Air Services (NTAS). NTAS is flying the RASS 100x routes now, which ChartAir served previously using Caravans.
  9. I think its a cool idea. Flying around fishing would interest me. Don't have 2024, but I've heard its getting close to a release state now - so maybe I'll get it at a discount soon. It's been a year after release... So I'll keep this one in mind...
  10. This! I rather use my FPS on AI traffic than a fully modeled baggage claim area or a duty free shop. I don't mind the level of detail on smaller airports but I have not purchased any major hub with detailed interior modeling.
  11. A big help for me where the youtube tutorials from Fly with Magnar - he provided a detailed set of tutorials called "ATR 72-600 for MSFS tutorial by ATR instructor". While these are older and some aspects have been updated / fixed, they are still valid. Detailed, step-by-step including system explanations. Now - that said - I haven't flown the ATR in a long time and maybe a later update messed something up... My problem with the ATR in MSFS2020 is/was its behavior in crosswind conditions. Even with full ailerons and rudder I have problems keeping the plane stable on the ground during take-off and after landing. And this with crosswinds as low as 10kt... The real live limits for the ATR series is much higher. So i basically have to disable live weather. The ATR is the only plane I have this problem with - so I assume its the plane. That's why I'm not using it anymore... GG
  12. Hmm - I had such an issue not that long ago with a different software - the PMDG Operation Center. The problem was that the OC was started on a monitor my Windows thought was connected (but was not). So I could see the program in the task bar being active and I could click on it - but as you described besides- nothing happened except for a flash on my monitor. Do you use multiple monitors? If yes - did you recently changed the monitor set-up or are you using a docking station? In my case - I am using one of my monitors also when I'm working at home with my laptop from work. I have a HMDI switch for that which was the problem here.
  13. Sure - that is an option with 16 fans - or you just get one of these and be done with it... https://www.tomshardware.com/pc-components/cooling/id-cooling-frozn-a720-and-a620-review cheap and easy to install. And with e.g. 120W AMD CPU a lot of headroom on the TDP and consequently lower noise. Air coolers are a valid option. Nothing wrong with it.
  14. Great with the sale but apparently, being located in Norway blocks any purchase from SImmarket "due to tax regulations". Have not had that problem before. But they're sorry - so they have that going for them, which is nice. Hope they stop selling norwegian sceneries to the rest of the world! 😉
  15. Is that true? Could not find anything in reference to 2020...
  16. Hi, I'm using the Schneider Electric / APC surge arrester series on all my high-value equipment (PC, heat pump, TV/Hifi). Here in Europe, these are reasonable priced and i have no issues with them (but I never had to put to the test neither...). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=27kZ9NZEdkA
  17. I do not know how to set the sensitivity in the SimPro app, but my setting in MSFS2020 are pretty aggressive with -60% for both +/- of the X & Y axis. That did the trick for me....Hope that helps.
  18. I read that they are working on the Grand Caravan model package including dedicated cargo and float versions - which I really appreciate. They are also working on a Commander 114 and are going to release the Starship (at least the product page is up already). https://fselite.net/content/black-square-details-msfs-2024-compatibility-and-previews-upcoming-projects/ If I could opt for a new project - I would hope for a B1900C/D package due to a similar B350 cockpit. Really loved the FS9 PMDG B1900C gargo version together with Air Hauler. And they are also still in use for simulation of RL operations.
  19. I myself am using the Fractal Design Define C. It is a mid-tower case but a little bit wider to support bigger air coolers. Its not a glass case, but has internal sound dampening (my build was focused on silent running). Easy to clean dust filters on front & bottom. I have an older design with 4 USB ports on the front - newer version seems to be limited to only two. I'm happy with it.
  20. You don't have to pay for any QA if you have customers doing the job - and paying you for the privilege! Get the Hype-Train going, open Pre-Orders on PC and include the Standard Edition it in the XBox Game Pass for "free" testers and off you go. Now - in 6-12 months the sim will probably be in the actual release state - considering the quarterly update schedule mentioned Dev-Stream.
  21. Just out of curiosity - FSHud 2.0 was just released for MSFS2024 too (at least I got a update button in my version). Does the 2024 version include the Airport diagrams and if yes - where are these data from? GG
  22. Exactly - how can that be a surprise for Asobo? They knew what products are on the marketplace... they own it. So - they never did that before? Is there something I'm missing here?
  23. There is no chance that they did not know about these issues. That is the reason why the marketplace was not fully available from the start. I think that developers will think twice selling over the marketplace now. Being forced to adapt for free because Asobo wanted to cash inn on a new sim instead of making (meaningful) updates and promised compatibility for marketplace products without providing a framework for developers prior to release - that might raise some eyebrows. And maybe doing it all in 2028 again? And we're not even talking adding 2024 functionality - standard Asobo planes are not working as intended... I think future MSFS projects will be evaluated differently, especially with long development times.
  24. I am using the URSA MINOR Airline Joystick with the Fenix A320 and it is awesome - especially for the price. Highly recommended! I ordered it through the European distribution and had no problem with delivery and packaging.
  25. Well, If Asobo had sold it as Early Access with a limited feature set (maybe at a reduce price), or delayed the launch - nobody had a reason to complain. But this did not happen. Just because such launches seem to be "the new normal" does not make i right. Asobo is free (obligated i would say) to fix its product, meanwhile they have to live with the consequences. Vocal customer dissatisfaction is just as valid (and a logical consequence) as Asobo thought their sim was in a state to be released. This whole thing was a simple business transaction - and one side did not deliver. Maybe the sim is now more usable than previously - but still, things are not working as advertised.
