Just asking myself is it still worth it to install v2.5 now or is v3.0 already that near? ..

I dont really want to install everything all over again

There's absolutely no indications of a release date for v3.0 at this time, nor is there any actual news on features or changes. I'd say install what you need to fly, as you might be waiting for some time for the release of v3.0 and potentially more time waiting for your addon collection to catch up as well.

If you own v2.5, I'd go ahead and use it!

Jokes aside - I have a backlog of planned purchases for P3D, such as new RCTP, ZGGG, ENGM and I'm  honestly at the crossroad - either postpone them and wait for 3.0 and related patches OR buy right now assuming that 3.0 will shine at full after patch #3 or #4, i.e. 6-8 months after initial release

Thats also what I've been thinking, although I havent simmed for like 2 months I'd really like to do now, but its just so time consuming to install everything again thereafter

Flightbeam is preparing for V3 also.  On their FB site, someone asked about V3 and they said they preparing KSFO for it.  So it seems like P3Dv3 release is getting close

I just want to kiss F$$!@#@ VAS issues goodbye once and for all

Pucker up ... lets see how long you can hold it. ;)

No I'm not going to lock this thread, why should I?  It'll expire when people want it to expire.

Besides, I thought you folks relied on Pete D. for P3D release dates ... check his vacation schedule ... oh wait, isn't Pete retired?

Cheers, Rob.

This is a very good point. While we know nothing about 3.0 and its release date, I think I may hold off on buying new addons. But almost more because I've bought too many already and there are so many airports that I've bought that I've still, to date, never even done a flight to/from.

I will, however, download the trial for KSFO (assuming FB uses the same trial protocol) the second it gets released...

"Because with great power, comes great responsitriligence..."

From an announcement that V.3 was imminent months ago and users saying that they won't buy it if it doesn't contain 64 bit, I suggest that this demand is being taken seriously now?

Let's all hope so?

Uncanny how folks can take "not a shred of evidence and turn it into idle speculation".

If I had to chose between my girlfriend and no VAS issue, I would choose no VAS issues.

No just kidding. Or am I ... ?
