January 29, 20251 yr Commercial Member Gave it a try myself yesterday; while it appears to have some improvement, ghosting is still definitely there for me. Most noticeable on EICAS or PFD tapes unless I'm zoomed in pretty far. A step in the right direction, I suppose, but still sad I'm not able to use it as my daily setting (4080 Super here). Maybe there are some improvements in scenery sharpness, but the ghosting on glass displays is still very much there for me. January 29, 20251 yr Martial clearly gave up with the Garmin Screens Blurry with DLSS issue, fed us a load of BS during Q&As and then went silent on it (see his attitude on VR for reference). So our only hope was that nVidia fix it themselves, not tried DLSS4 properly yet but I'm reading elsewhere this area hasn't improved, fingers crossed they give it a go in the future. January 29, 20251 yr Not sure if it is a perception as I've not measured it precisely, but has anyone noticed that VRAM usage has increased since installing the new driver and dlss4 files? Actually it is exactly the opposite on my end and one of the things I was hoping for. I see around 1GB lower VRAM usage, but also no precise measurement to underline this. Hope it is not placebo 😉 Greetings, Chris AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D, 2x32GB DDR5 6000MT/s RAM, MSI RTX 4090 Ventus 3X, Windows 11 Home, MSFS2024

I wonder if the driver release will help with those? Or if there is something else I can do to sharpen the screens up?! hoping this will save me spending on a new card for a while longer (3090 currently). 6 hours ago, CaptKornDog said: Gave it a try myself yesterday; while it appears to have some improvement, ghosting is still definitely there for me. Pity, I guess DLSS4 may be great for other games but of course for MSFS and Asobo, it once again falls flat. Asobo is not anywhere close to being a top tier software development company. Eric

Nvidia themselves said it was a problem on their end. It's not an issue with the sim, it was never up to Asobo to fix. It's something Nvidia they brought up in one of their CES presentations, not mentioning MSFS specifically but animated surfaces in general. The old version DLSS wasn't properly considering animated surfaces. Edited January 29, 20251 yr by Tuskin38
January 29, 20251 yr For some reason, when I try to install the new driver from the CUDA package, it fails with no indication of why. I’ve been able to install the new DLSS and NVI profile J with no issues. im hoping the driver installs fine tomorrow so I can see if ghosting is at an acceptable level or not. I didn’t realise that was a pre-requisite to voice an opinion 🤷🏻♂️ Edited January 29, 20251 yr by Ianrivaldosmith
