The features themselves aren’t a barrier; it’s simply a design choice that Fenix is externally ran. This is why it can’t be on Xbox. Hey Lucky38i. Since you are a developer for the FBW team and you have experience with the MSFS SDK, what is A2A doing that is different from Fenix? From my understanding, A2A is also running their flight model, and a bunch of other things, externally of MSFS. But somehow, they managed to get their Comanche on the XBox. Do you have an educated guess as to what A2A is doing that is different from Fenix? i5-12400, RTX 3060 Ti, 32 GB RAM
July 27, 2025Jul 27 I thought BFU was their first iteration "without" prosim and anything external. Isn't BFU their first ground up iteration or am I wrong (as usual) lol Have a Wonderful Day -Paul Solk

Do you have an educated guess as to what A2A is doing that is different from Fenix? I guess you need to differentiate between "external/custom" to the sim core frameworks (be it FM, systems, etc) versus "external" to the sim execution environment and sandbox. A2A is is the former, and while they used to have an audio component as a separate executable now everything is within the sim sandbox so therefore can work on PC and XB. Fenix still has a separate executable so that is a roadblock to the marketplace I guess. And in terms of their systems that is of course all custom and separate from the sim's default ones, and in terms of their FM, AFAIK from what Aamir once said earlier on this forum it is a combination of using the sim's FDE plus their custom stuff. Like Lucky38i said, it's all a design/implementation choice in their code. "To begin with - instead of attempting to turn our CEO into a NEO with a bit of brain surgery and ECAM fiddling, we've opted to replace the entire ECAM from the ground up at a "NEO" standard, this is wholly and solely Fenix - no longer shared with ProSim (some ammo for internet arguments). :

July 27, 2025Jul 27 All of the bug fixes will please me as well as what we can do in the walk-around mode! Hoping livery selection for 2024 has been fixed as well. It's a mess for the Fenix right now in MSFS 2024.
