Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 1.2.7.0 Available Now

This might be a dumb question. But can someone clarify that they can actually see an update box appear on startup. As for me I did not see any Update box on both the updates so far. It does show me that I am on version 1.2.7.0. I have the store version. Thanks in advance.

if you are on 1.2.7.0 you're current.
There is a chance the update dialogue may have been obscured by another window or fallen out of focus without you catching it in time.

Vatsim Use Case: It's 2100 local time. I roll the clock back to 1500 when it's day light out. Vatsim will want me to be on the 2100 weather cycle. I thought kicking the time ahead would give me darling + this real moment weather but I may be wrong.

I would add 3pp ATC Use Case that doesn't support 24hr historical weather. I currently use both FSHud & BATC. With FSHub I am ok with historical weather. But for BATC, I need to manually change runways and AI goes wrong direction. Not realistic.

Might as well add to my wish list: If I have a 'premium' navigraph subscription, then simbrief should also support 24 hour history.

1.2.7.0 - Xbox Cloud Gaming Issue

Following the release of update 1.2.7.0, we’re aware of an issue preventing some users on Xbox Cloud Gaming from progressing past the initial loading screen because of controller input loss on the below pop-up.

cb664ba9e2a28bd91927561341121d9e684ff9b6

To resolve this, please follow the instructions below. Please also note this pop-up will not reappear on subsequent launches once the sim has progressed to the title menu at least once.

  1. From Xbox Cloud Gaming (Beta) on  Xbox.com, sign-in, select the Profile icon in the top right, and select Settings.
  2. From Settings, select the Audio & Video tab, then disable Launch games in fullscreen mode.
  3. In windowed mode and with a controller connected, launch Microsoft Flight Simulator 2024 from the Xbox Cloud Gaming interface using controller input.

    • NOTE: While the sim is launching, keep the focus and the controller active in the Xbox Cloud Gaming window—do not select another window.
  4. When the loading screen appears, select Continue with the controller and allow the sim to progress to the title screen. Please also note the initial loading on 1.2.7.0 may take longer than normal due to the deactivating of Marketplace 2020 ported content.

If the update is installed automatically via the store before you launch the sim, you will not see any update box when you open the sim. I was surprised yesterday to see the update installed already when I checked the store before launching the sim.

My FS2024 was running great until this patch. Now it stutters like crazy!

Mine did too, until I realised it had disabled framegen option, turned it on and no stutters

i7 12700K , DDR4 64GB RAM @3600MHz, Asus Z690-Plus D4 MB, Gainward 4090 RTX Graphics, 850W Corsair PSU, Kraken AIO watercooler, Nvme 1TB ssd, 1TB ssd, 500GB ssd.

Continue to be very underwhelmed with 2024 - certainly load and getting into flying is fine for me - but once I get there the graphics look terrible (city wise), stutters are worse (using the same settings as 2020) and my pc sound like its ready for takeoff all the time (2020 does occasion go to blower mode occasionally during flight - but only for short periods of time).   And with all of the marketplace content still off limits its still not worth my time for now.

Updated and everything still running smooth and looking beautiful. Some solid career mode fixes and they finally fixed my little pet peeve issue of the sim seemingly 'still running' after shutting it down. Steam made it appear that I'd still have it running despite having closed it 5 minutes ago. Made it a headache to restart sometimes.

You are 100% correct. Unfortunately, this anomaly is very popular for some unknown reason. Only a few developers who take pride in their work and respect customers' wallets are left. It's like people want to be cheated and throw money at incompetence. UNBELIVEBLE!

I think part of it is curiosity.

The Windshield Effects still is not fixed. When you set it to High, it goes back to Medium!!

Are you using the built-in auto fps thingy? I think it might be changing settings.....

Go read the official forums VR bug area.

Everyday...the problems are scant!

@fppilot

Did a flight in the Honda Jet from Nassau to Tampa KVDF.

365 miles direct.

Loaded 100% fuel, 3120,  landed with 950, so the fuel burn is still excessive…

Update has helped but I’m so torn with MSFS2024. one part of me really enjoyed the sim and another part can’t help but be frustrated.

Career mode has been addictive for me and then bugs in aircraft or with career mode itself ruin the experience.

Tried the Fenix and performance was great but seemed to have fuel usage issues.

I unfortunately fear that I’ll have to double sim for a while.

I think so...set at 30.

So some of my scenery from the market place is there but all of it is not available. Yet, before they took it away, it worked fine. I wonder what the deal is with that and how long before its available.
