Another company going bust thanks to greazer. Must we have a new topic for everything you won’t buy?

Well I bought $5000 on Nvidia stock like 10 years ago and now it is worth $750,000.  I can't even sell it or I'd have to give the government like $150,000 in taxes.  So I'll just die with it and give it to my kid to avoid the tax payment. But my 4090 card still rocks as I get 150 fps now.

Pretty gutted if these rumours turn out to be true.  I have a 3080ti and been waiting a considerable amount of time for the release of the 5090.

I had accepted in my head that Id be willing to pay £2000 for it.  The UK always ends up costing a lot more for pc hardware compared to the US plus these prices maybe for the basic editions, rather then those by 3rd party vendors, with enhanced clock speeds and cooling.  4090s are non existent here, or themselves at crazy prices. 

I’m sure Nvidia is just quaking in their boots.

It’s time to rethink what "advanced" really means in flight simulation.  Does "advanced" mean insanely detailed addons that only run well on top-tier hardware? Or should it mean realistic, high-quality experiences that don’t rquire you to sell a kidney to upgrade your PC, including super expensive Nvidia GPU?  That’s not groundbreaking, it’s just business as usual.

Why not redefining "advanced" as not just the most complex or demanding but as the most innovative, efficient, and inclusive. For instance, running 60fps in MSFS 2028 with GTX 1080Ti card😁😅

Maybe if some of you guys stopped wanting a minimum of 120+ fps @ 4K resolution, you might not have to worry about the price of top end graphics cards

Where is the news? 

NVDIA has been exploiting their quasi monopoly at least for the last two generations of GPUs. 

The 40x series has also been ridiculously overpriced for what they give you. 

Especially on RAM front. 

inevitably the noisy 4000 series owners (streamers mainly) will now of course start advocating for skipping a generation due to costs, having recently splurged on 4090's

fellow 3000 series owners who held out on the 4000 series generation : it's approaching our time to shine with some 5000 series cards 😎

Not exactly true, as in today's reality bitcoin farms are the primary customer, not us, casual PC gamers. It's like getting individual health insurance vs. obtaining the same type of insurance through your job. The insurance company may charge you $4,000 a month as an individual, because they don't care whether you accept this price or not, since their cash flows comes out from large employers.
