What is still lacking for you in FS2024 since SU3?

Featured Replies

Just curious of the top thing(s) people consider still not good enough with the current SU3 state of FS2024?

For me its career. Bought it for career and 100% disappointment in its bugs, functionality, difficulty customization, progression system and reward implementation.

Secondary would be plane bugs, can't play career fairly or properly if the plane is delivered handicapped.

Career - still buggy and irritating because it’s so close to be being amazing .. but then you have weird bugs like the passenger refusing to enter the plane and just walking next to it in the air, which is what happens to me with the 400 TT in career mode.

I still find myself missing several core features that should be standard in a modern flight simulator:
1.     A proper Tower and FlyBy view
2.     Robust multi-monitor support
3.     Functional and immersive ATC
4.     Realistic and dynamic airplane traffic
After five years, it's disappointing that these essential elements are still absent. In my opinion, MSFS2024 SU3 remains a visually stunning platform—but beneath the impressive graphics and scenery, it falls short as a truly comprehensive flight simulation experience.

I have given up on Career mode, not because of bugs but rather because I don't have time / patience to play it...

1) Fine tuning of rotary wing flight dynamics;

2) Fine tuning of weather effects, specially in the vicinity or when inside hazardous weather ( Cbs, and the like );

3) Fine tuning of mountain winds such that the upwind ridge effect doesn't propagate all the way up to the tropopause (and probably beyond...)

4) Fine tuning of AI Traffic injection, not that most the liveries but more the logic of both ground and air traffic

5) Fine tuning of ATC

time compression

What's the matter with time compression? I find it works as well as it did in FSX, P3D and MSFS2020. No better, no worse.

Has something changed since the beta? I could literally look up a real world lightening tracker and find the corresponding thunderstorm in the sim 99% of the time.

It's something that was definitely an issue in 2020 but I feel like I hear different readings in 2024.

Haven't been able to save hardware profiles by airframe thusfar.  Not a huge issue but hope they address it soon it looks like just a case of saving per airframe.

ATC improvements and Callsign handling (Somehow when flying PMDG or Fenix aircraft the atc never identifies the airline im using correctly. Its always airbus or boeing... not the callsign. Allow us to adjust this on the fly or something. I know about the option to make the callsign apply to all aircraft but i fly too many different aircraft and airlines for that option to work for me.

AI behavior improvements. (This has regressed so badly from FS9.... yes FS9 and keeps getting worse)

A Wholesale clean up of those awful rock trees

Further WX enhancements (The clouds have improved. Now its time for it to be worth something when you actually fly into them.

Fix major airports that are glaringly bad (KSLC for example and wheres LTFM ?) or reintroduce the program that allows users to fix them.

1. Jetways working correctly using the TOGGLE_JETWAY event (the one used by all EFBs and GSX), without having to rely on default ATC.

2. Higher simulation rates (until 2020, it worked correctly). EDIT: fixed in SU3. I need to try again.

Your aircraft will reach destination faster (as expected), but time of day stays at 1x (unlike all previous sims).
