  1. Past hour
  2. Here here. Agree with what you said about the value. No thanks. Especially if you're really stupid and have several hobbies. Just dropped money on a good 14" bandsaw for resawing hardwdoods...and next month is a 220 outlet install so I can get a better Tig welder in the future...etc.
  3. I use a button on my joystick and haven't seen any issues. Been flying all of the dukes for over 3.months. I'm also on su15 beta though. Are you using an axis like a trim wheel?
  4. Even in its current state this addon is brilliant already. I did a quick flight from Kefalonia to Athens tonight, and even got cleared for the backtrack before calling ready for departure. This option didn't even exist in FS9/X/P3D. I have been watching some of the Aegean/Olympic justplanes program lately and the Greek premium voices were unbelievably realistic. It was a simple A to B flight for sure, but give BATC one or two more years of development and it will be the real deal.
  5. You and I were taught the same thing, as often Unicom wasn't active at the field at that time or the person monitoring (many times one person at a small field) had stepped away. However, I was also taught to request "winds & active" in the first call-up in case someone was on-station. If there was no one there I would announce my position, my intent and overfly the field in the exact way you described. I was responding (in my initial post) to the O.P. regarding when the term "active runway" might be used.
  6. Indeed. At the stage where you get the "expect Runway X" you should be able to say "Negative, requesting Y instead" or "Can we get Y instead?" And at the current state with no Traffic around BeyondATC should always grant that request. Only in later stages when there is also traffic around it can account for operational reasons to deny a request for a Runway in the opposite direction.
  7. RTSS's edge sync method was recommended to people without DLSS FG capabilities for its superior frame pacing which becomes relevant when you don't have the horsepower to run higher rates. Back when you did your original attack you stated this was old hat, consoles have done this at 30 FPS (duh, because superior FTV does matter when frame rates are relatively low). My only challenge to you that you ignored was simply to TRY IT, before aggressively discounting it ad hoc to others which is what you were doing, and that dialogue had NOTHING to do with DLSS FG at the time you went on your original attack trying to discourage others from simply trying RTSS edge sync to see for themselves. I continue to encourage people to try it who don't have RTX40xx capabilities. I DID NOT try to get the OP to do this here, though once again several here that do use the method, like McDaniel above, aren't bothered by PC latency associated with RTSS edge sync and FG. Why do you suppose that is? Are they lying or pretending too? I may be a piece of work, but you're just flat out rude and vindictive. Why GFE overlay shows Render Latency instead of PC Latency here, I have no idea--I chose Latency in its filters, and that's what appears. The latency issue doesn't come into play anyway that is why others who actually tried and continue to use RTSS edge sync did not complain nor comment about latency, and the last few to try this were using DLSS FG, dunno about MrBits and McD. I'm late to the DLSS FG party but have used it enough to state emphatically latency is a non-issue from a perception POV and I'm sure that is why others continue to use it. In fact I'd give you 10:1 odds in a double-blinded test, in MSFS only, if you could discern the 48ms difference in latency associated w/ FG when edge sync is employed. The mouse thru molasses is beyond silly, as if initiating a mouse move in which the pointer moves 48/1000's of one second later can translate to 'sluggish' in any honest person's mind. I think you're lying now or pretending. If you hadn't read about it or measured it yourself you'd not have been deterred by latency, just like myself and the others who do use RTSS edge sync. So yes it's not going to end here and is why I am passionate about this for those w/o FG capabilities especially. As stated in my original post linked in MrBitsFlyer's comment above once you can crank out 60+ frames ultra low FTV becomes less important in the perception of smooth animation.
  8. Although I don't have that scenery, I would experiment with Photogrammetry ON vs. OFF and see if it helps. Photogrammetry setting is in MSFS options under "Data".
  9. @martin-w, I hope it’s your spell checker that’s calling it a gun instead of a camera make. 😉 Lots of quality kit there. Never had large or medium format cameras. Too expensive and too heavy. I bought a 200-500mm Nikkor but it needs a tripod or monopod. Or I need to go to the gym. 🤣
  10. As stated, it depends on which airplane you absolutely "must" have.. IMHO, the standard edition will keep you happy until the 2024 edition comes out..
  11. Meanwhile... truly diggin' the old-school KLN90b integration. Nice match for the "vintage" base model B60 piston Duke!
  12. Seems microtubules DO display quantum effects. If the research is correct, of course.
  13. Hi there I was wondering, if anyone can tell me how I can place a jetway to a 3rd party addon. I know I have to switch to developer mode and I found this video on youtube, but on this video, the beginning for me is missing. I can not reacreate how he came to these options. SDK is installed. Kind Regards and many thanks in advance Patrick
  14. So if I understand correctly, if we are using FG, we should NOT be capping FPS with RTSS. ONLY via the NVIDIA CP?
  15. From the video comments: Step 1: 2:41 clean up the cache in MSFS. Options>General Options>Data[scroll down]>Rolling Cache>Delete>Apply & Save. Step 2: 3:11 exit MSFS>Launch Nvidia Control>Manage 3D settings>[scroll down]Shader Cache size> Disable>Exit & Save Settings. Step 3: 3:45 open Appdata>Local>Nvidia>Keep Folders but Delete ALL files [or sub folders] within DX Cache and GL Cache folders. Step 4: 4:31 type in Disk Cleanup App>Open Disk Cleanup>Delete ALL in DirectX Shader Cache Step 5: 5:04 Restart PC Step 6: Open back Nvidia>Manage 3D settings>set Shader Cache Size to Default.
  16. I was a proffesional photographer back in the day, Ray. Sinar 5X4 studio camera, Bronica 6X6 roll film SLR, Hasalblad 6X6, Nikon SLR. Sloshing stuff around in dev tanks in those days, crossing your fingers it comes out okay. I always favoured Cannon for my SLR's after giving up the pro stuff. Smartphones are a pain, re the screen. I have to boost the brightness. I was photographing a cruise ship the other day, just arriving out of the mist, could barely see it. They should make an accessory optical viewfinder. There are some handy gadgets for them, like thermal etc.
  17. I always find I need a little bit of rudder to keep centerline, especially as most wind conditions are not straight down the runway. Although I find this much more pronounced in the Fenix A320 where I do find myself chasing the centerline a bit more. Good to know the transition should be smooth as the aircraft lifts off.
  18. Something's got to be up. I've been hand-flying the snot out of this thing since release and find it to be very solid. The pitch trim sensitivity for me is very very low. That being said, I've always found it pretty normal in any flight simulator and any plane to tweak the power, prop settings or mixture juuuuuusssst ever so slightly to get perfectly straight & level hands-off flight without some very very minor creeping up or down over the long haul (in perfectly calm air of course). It's certainly not changing pitch from positive to negative in any noticeable degree with one click of pitch trim. Might there be a conflict somewhere? So far this is all with the straight "stripper model" B60 Piston Duke, Haven't yet flown the Grand or Royal Turbine version since I want to work my way up to it to fully enjoy the differences. But, I'll say that hand-flying it has been so smooth that it very much strikes me as a worthy successor to the RealAir version. The wandering left and right down the runway on takeoff, I've expected given MSFS shortcomings and what's been said about SU15 correcting that. Again not much worse to me than some other high-powered piston aircraft in the sim.
  19. Sure, there needs to be a backup for those cases. I'd say anyone agrees on that, and from what I've read, the devs are already working on it.
  20. As if older software did not have issues. They do and, unlike new releases, they aren’t typically improved at the same pace, if at all.
  21. Today
  22. Deluxe is worth it for the Longitude & 787 alone but depending on what you want to fly, your mileage may vary!.. G
  23. The runway issue is so easily fixed. Either: add add “force arrival runway” choice like Pilot2ATC has or, even better, just allow “request runway 27L” option (like IRL.) I got assigned a crossing grass runway on a small airport. With BATC your only option is to end the software if it gives you a runway you can’t use.
  24. I know the feeling Noel About 45 minutes ago i said to myself, time to venture out.. So i went and bought a burger It felt so good to leave because i go for days at a time without leaving the house,
