I thought such a topic would come handy. To kick start it, I would like to ask if someone's kind enough and make a West Atlantic (cargo variant) repaint on the DC-6 please? In reality, West Atlantic did never operate the type (Air Atlantique did). West Atlantic is basically a holding company for Atlantic Airlines (they "inherited" Air Atlantique) and West Air Sweden. West Atlantic operate a fleet consisting of BAE ATPs (would love to see a study level BAE ATP in P3D), 737s, 767s and CRJs. I think the West Atlantic livery (both the grey and the white one) looks great and would make for an excellent dress for the DC-6 especially in a nice, weathered condition.

Hi, i did paint a Livery for the DC6. I create a Texture Folder and changed the aircraft.cfg like with the B777 or 747 also. I´m sure (99.9%) that new entry in the aircraft.cfg is correct. I save it on the Desktop and copy the File back to the DC6B Aircraft Folder. And now starts the Problem. Run the FSX as Admin, equal, the FSX dont read the changed aircraft.cfg. Not just only the new Entry, all other DC6 are not shown, also if i delete the Entry again. And so i dont know what is my Problem. Thanks a Lot for all Help Gonzo

Hello guys. This is my first post here, even though I've been lurking for quite a while now... This is a post to announce a new livery for the 747-400ER Qotsll V3: South African Airways "new" paint. After wanting to fly through Africa, Europe and Middle East I looked for a nice SAA livery, but all I could find was some squishy models with inaccurate color palette and logo distortions (not saying mine is perfect). I then decided to give it a try and here it is. I chose the words (from a real SAA 747 by the way) SHOSHOLOZA for this livery and here is what it means (just copy pasted from Wikipedia): "Shosholoza" is a Fanagalo song that was sung by the mixed tribes of miners mining gold in South Africa. It is a mix of Zulu and Ndebele words, and can have various other South African languages thrown in depending on the singers. It was sung by all-male African workers that were working in the South African mines in a call and response style. The song is so popular in South African culture that it is often referred to as South Africa's second national anthem. Hallo, I have a strange problem: if fly with 737 800/900 winglets, that comes with the product, then I can save my flight and load it latur to continue, and it is functioning correctly. But with the downloade livery Air Berlin winglets the program do save the flight, but it is not visible on the list in diolog for opening saved flights. What's going wrong? Is saving possible only for original liveries? with best regards Rafal Ziolkowski

Hi, I was flying yesterday and I noticed some errors in the Emirates liveries. Namely, on the inside of the engine nacelles the Emirates logo calligraphy is backwards. I've illustrated this in the attached pictures. The error logos are circled in red. The green circles show the correct orientation of the logos. This error is in both Emirates liveries, the 77W and 77F and on the inside of both Number 1 and Number 2 engine nacelles. It would be nice if you guys could fix this. :smile: Regards.

Hello, I was woundering if anyone know of(or wants to) create a libyan airforce or similar repaint to the virtavia Tu-22 blinder. It is such a wounderful and unique aircraft(despite its rumours) And i am a little dissapointet virtavia (or alphasim then) only made one default soviet paint for the airplane. Just woundering if there are any others out there like me that are interested in seing repaints of this rare airplane. Last picture is the virtavia fsx tu-22 model

While digesting a lot of turkey, gravy, mashed taters, etc., etc., I decided to organize all the liveries I have downloaded from the AVSIM library. I am left with about 12 or 15 sets of texture files that have no accompanying ptp files. So, my question is: How do you take these texture files and convert them into a ptp file? Hi there, I am using P3D and as I spawned in the 747 with the Saudi Repaint, the fuselage looks like it has a line running down the middle. This looks like some type of error to me. Note: It ONLY happens with this livery, the rest are in perfect condition https://puu.sh/u97Xe/8e27616e39.jpg https://puu.sh/u97ZO/bbca87c498.jpg P3D is running as administrator, I disabled my antivirus and ran the installer as administrator, I have no addon scenery or weather, and have P3D installed in C:/Lockheed Martin, not Program Files X86 I've tried the reinstall the 747 and P3D but it doesn't seem to solve this problem. Does this happen to anyone else otherwise have I done something wrong? -
Hello All, I encountered some hard disk corruption with my FSX installation which necessitated a re-nstallation of both FSX and the MD-11 software. I have gone as far as editing the registry and deleting all fragments related to both FSX and PMDG software following the normal uninstall process. But several issues linger. If I choose the MD-11 as the default aircraft at startup, all segments of the 2D image open as "locked", This this is easily cleared by right clicking and deselecting the "lock" option. Even after doing so and re-saving the default scenario with the screen segments properly positioned, the issue persists on startup. With the MD-11 selected as the default aircraft, the simulation always opens off-screen and must be manually retrieved. About 75% of the time the PMDG Sound function in the and-ons menu is not displayed, however, the PMDG configuration menu is always displayed. The "normal" and "widescreen" functions in the Load Manager program are grayed out. I can force the program into widescreen by editing the appropriate CFG file. Load Manager displays a grayed-out "normal". or "widescreen" depending on how I have edited the file. Flight Simulator now operates in the widescreen mode for not only the MD-11, but for all aircraft. Finally, I am unable to install liveries either from the option on the CD or from a downloaded file from the website. The procedure seems to complete normally but there are no changes to the aircraft.CFG file in either the passenger or freight folders. Only the four default aircraft are installed. And yes, display all variants is selected. My sense is that there is an issue in some area of configuration I have missed. Inasmuch as I am seeing the same result, or a lack of results in both the MD-11 and MD-11F aircraft.cfg files, I must be missing something else. I have even modified the security rights for both folders giving full access to myself (I already have full administrative rights) and to trusted software installers. I have started fresh three times and am at a loss. If anyone has any ideas I welcome them. It may be a while before I have an opportunity to experiment as I am scheduled for surgery in about a week and may be out of commission for three or four weeks. So I'm a fan of American Airlines, and I know American doesn't actually fly these models of the NG family, but I think they'd look great with winglets in the AA livery! I have no skills in terms of the photoshop and making the great liveries you all have made. I would greatly appreciate it and Im sure many others would too!!PS: Anyone up for the challene of making the Continental 75th anniversary livery?Thanks,Mitch Bowman -
Hello FS painters, I am in the process of getting my very own fictional VA started up and running and am in need of aircraft repaints. Painter needs to have experience with PMDG paintkits as our flagship is the 737. But we also operate a mixed fleet type as well. Hello Fellow Pilots, I appear to be having a problem with my Legit copy of the 777. Default textures and it flys like a dream, when I download a Livery with the PMDG Operations Centre the aircraft has no gears and the cockpit is dead, Ive removed everything and re-installed to no avail :( Just wondering if this has come up before or if anyone has a fix? Hey, I'm studying Aviation at University and my group have been tasked with starting up a hypothetical airline, The name is still pending however a working name of ManChi Airways is in use. We were looking for some of the more talented painters out there to do us a simple livery so we can take some realistic looking images in FSX for use in our presentation, The deadline for this is the 25th march. We don't mind which aircraft you use as we have access to PMDG737, Airbus X and any of the default Aircraft. We cannot pay you guys unfortunately (we are students after all) However we can credit you when we give our presentation if you wish. We basically want a good design preferably in a Red Colour and featuring the Hong Kong and UK flags. We're not too picky as you guys are probably wizards at this stuff in comparison. If you so happen to choose this Mission you can contact me at the email below, also there is a basic layout of a livery painted on a 787 you guys can use this/change parts but this is the general colouring done by a group member (We have already called him up on the Thomson similarities). however we would ask it is painted onto one of the aircraft mentioned above. no one in my team has any talent with this stuff so we have turned to you guys. I just purchased Carenado PC-12 for FSX. I previously owned their PC012 for FS9 I really need a pilot operating handbook for this aircraft. I've been playing around with it since I got it about 3 hours ago, and have only discovered a couple of essential things pursuant to flying this beast. I understand that this FSX version has a lot of newy-newy, stuff on its' operating system, but I can't find such instruments such as radio frequencies selection, NDB selection. I am not afraid to display my ignorance here, but . . . the aircraft I downloaded is plain vanilla White paint job! (livery I think it is properly called.) So: Can anyone point me to somewhere where I can get a pilot operating handbook and where I can get a paint job? I would sincerely appreciate it. DonaldS

Hello , everyone ! I exactly remember my first days as a simmer , just like it was yesterday . My old Pentium 4 Dual core Laptop , FS2004 and the wonderful PSS 777 . And the FPS was never bellow 40 ! Anyway I was totally in love with my collection , and my favorite one was the ITVV's Cathay Pacific 777 . Oh , what a flight . Empty plane , part of the 1000 cycle ETOPS program to do some tests on it , and with Graeme Thompson on the left seat and of course , Capt.Suzanna Darcy on the right . It was great to see Graeme explaining all the systems , Fly By Wire and Flight Envelope Protection features of the triple 7 . And in the last after saying good-bye , there was this beautiful shots from the triple 7's maiden flight and mixed with this amazing song by Nik Martin. The paint on that aircraft , was exactly like the image bellow . So anyone saw this paint for PMDG 777 ? I'll be glad if some one did a repaint of this , cause it takes me back into those good old memories of mine .
