A blatent bug since release and still not addressed ! No, it hasn't changed. Since the market place is not available in 2024 I was hoping they'd put a lot more effort into the default planes but although there are plenty of good things in SU1 it seems to have been quite a scatter gun approach to fixes as far as I can see. Still plenty of obvious problems with default planes, still obvious problems with how the light balance works - especially in regard to nav screens and looking in/out of the cockpit, still not convinced the fantastic lod achieved in the initial beta has been restored. In my opinion it's certainly progress but it's a very mixed bag......
March 7, 20251 yr Hopefully now that SU1 is released they can start releasing some significant fixes for the default aircraft. Miltech said they’ve submitted two patches to MS for the C-17 late last year and neither have made it to release that I can see. I would guess other devs of default aircraft are in the same boat. March 7, 20251 yr I really want to like and be excited by MSFS 2024 but I just find performance way too hit and miss, particularly with airliners. Until it's a bit more stable and predictable I'll continue to spend more time in 2020. But look forward to seeing how they progress with SU2 which should hopefully bring more performance and stability. But I still might give GA a whirl as the lighting and visuals are stunning

March 7, 20251 yr But I bought it from the Microsft store and I don't see any evidence of an update that has occurred. Edited March 7, 20251 yr by hipshot845

Not a biggie, it just loads grass in patches when moving around on the airport, but still annyoing. Was reported: https://devsupport.flightsimulator.com/t/polygon-with-ground-texture-is-now-transparent/13035 but obviously just ignored. Like many things, sometimes I really, really get upset by the way Asobo handles bug reports in their betas, it still gives the impression that their QC is just non-existend or a bunch of amateurs, sorry to say. They are 100% amateurs. 3 steps forward 5 steps back.
March 7, 20251 yr Can't load the A330 anymore. Missing the PMDG DC6 in MSFS 2024 (she's here, but...).

March 7, 20251 yr Tried the new SIM update, one thing that I would love to see fixed is the walking view outside not to be so stuttery. The drone view as smooth as butter. Isn't there a way to get it as smooth as drone view but still have the walk-around mode be that way but to include the walking effect? Plus the mouse sensitivity is crazy fast from what I've noticed with the new update Asus Tuf Gaming Plus B550 - Ryzen 7 5800X3D - Asus GeForce 4080 RTX OC Edition - 64GB DDR4 (3600Mhz) - EVGA 850W Power Supply - 2X 1 TB NVME PCIE gen 4 - Windows 11 (25H2)

You should see MSFS 2024 come up and the update will download and install. Then just run the sim as you normally would. Some like to reboot their PC after the update before running the sim. Ken
