  2. I see what you mean. I think it's kinda the black square trademark way of doing cockpits... very readable instruments. It's hard to tell in the videos but the textures are of very high quality - they are pretty clean though. I prefer super clean myself but I understand some like a little wear and tear. I think that could easily be done by a repainter. I'm not great with interiors but I'm sure someone will come along and do something. As for panel/interiors - there are some nice variations, like this lovely wood panel and schnazzy interior in the piston woodcockpit1 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr woodcockpit2 by Ryan Butterworth, on Flickr
  3. I was in easy mode simply because I already had the sim starting up when I clicked on hard mode and it said a restart was required, which meant a sim restart was required, so I didn't t do it. The way I read the rm manual though, there's nothing in easy mode that should have affected visibility. I went through each option one at a time anyway and set everything to fastest refresh etc. Present pos conditions said it was rendering 1/4sm, 1/8sm etc correctly per Metar but that's sure not what I was seeing. Now I did read in 8888 (the only version I've used) they disabled the generation of the lowest cloud layer in fog conditions; I did wonder if that was related?
  4. s0cks is right. If you look at individual core usage, one or two of them will be much higher than 17%. That 17% you're seeing is the average of all of the cores. So if a couple of cores are low it skews the overall % down. I'm assuming that 23 fps you're showing is the base rate before Frame Gen, so you're getting a much more usable 46 fps on approach. At least I hope 23fps is the pre-frame-gen fps! Anyway I do not have that scenery to test that exact scenario. I wonder what your TLOD is during that approach?
  5. I did two flights. Klga to kmke. Everything worked pretty good until i accidentally hit x and closed it out instead of minimizing it. Luckily it picked up right where i left off…. Well i thought it did but it didn't. It picked back up just out of pa but just about 200 miles from milwaukee at pegee near grand rapids it told me to turn right 100. So i just went to the menu and said. I want to go to pegee and it told me no! Cant go to fixes while being vectored. So back over Detroit and handing me off from Cleveland center it was obvious it was sending me back to laguardia. But i was too far north. Once i got over ct and long island it vectored me out over the ocean and then went in circles. No option could break the vectoring. I closed the program and tried again. And it finally told me to go to newel. My first wpt after laguardia. Thinking maybe it would take me to milwaukee. It did not after newel it just stoped talking qnd got frustrated and got out. Probably would have made it to mke had not closed the window but the window is my least favorite part of the program. It doesn't run in msfs so you have to keep hitting windows key to get to it in the app tray. You can use it minimized, you can talk to it and it will talk but you wont see the beyond atc window. The second flight was tus to phx. I figure this is a nice easy flight no problems. Clearance was good pushback good. Now the wind was being reported as 200at15g 26. Tus has a 12/30 and 22/4. Msfs and fsltl were in agreement the active runway was 12. It was actually 30 but…we know this wind problem. So batc tells me taxi a7 d to runway 21. Well there is no runway 21. So this proves that if the afcad is goofed batc will be goofed as well. So i go to runway 12 see if i can get an option. No option. Demands i use 21. So i try to slew to 21 hold point but this messes it up. It thinks i have started my takeoff roll and says stop immediately. Then says bad pilot. So i ask for take off on 21. Taxi down to 12 take off and i have finally gotten that over. I checked several times and both my simbrief and msfs fp were set for runway 12 so it just decided based on wind 21 was active. Its really 22, so it’s wrong in bullfrog sim tus scenery. The rest of the flight was ok. It was giving me hand offs a bit late. It also made me climb above my cruising altitude because the pinng1 at hottt is 22000. My cruise was supposed to be at 16000. So it took that bad info from msfs. Every thing else was good until i landed. It did not want to give me a gate i wanted no matter what i did. It wanted to give me c11. I wanted a or b, it would not give me either. Thats when i realized Bmw amsim have the gates set up wrong in their “afcad” so if a developer has not done the “afcad” correctly gates, taxiways, runways. It will screw up batc. I think this is too early for early access. But everyone couldn’t hold their horses so here we are. apologies for grammar im typing this on an i phone while i wait an inordinate amount of time at a restaurant for my food.
  6. I can't be sure how you should proceed. There were other reports of your issue here. Maybe something there would help. https://forums.flightsimulator.com/search?q=d3d11.dll
  7. Disastrous news. Aivlasoft is peerless with no equivalent.
  8. There is the Cessna Caravan too, as well as the TBM. Maybe it's his sticking to a similar colour scheme? I dunno. It's just I can always seem to tell when I'm in a BS aircraft. Perhaps a few variations of the instrument faces, and some different colours for the panels? Like I said though, it's a minor nitpick.
  9. Took me 48 grueling hours to set the new PC up. Finally after resetting windows it works!
  10. I’m not absolutely certain, but I think there is a bug that freezes the trim immediately after takeoff.
  11. Today
  12. Although you don't mention which version of P3D you have installed, you can try the file courtesy of IniBuilds, following the information in the notes. At the moment it only ensures compatibility with the P3D v4 and V5 versions. https://forum.inibuilds.com/files/file/792-aerosoft-barcelona/
  13. The sidestick in the TCA Captain Pack Airbus Edition has a number of buttons. I know these buttons can be mapped to different functions in the MSFS Control Options. My question is regarding introducing and assigning custom functions to these buttons. For example, out-of-the-box the button that is assigned to function CAMERA | COCKPIT CAMERA | PREVIOUS PILOT POSITION is JOYSTICK POV DOWN. What I would like to happen is when I hit JOYSTICK POV DOWN for the view to change to look down instead of going to the previous pilot position. The key strokes for this are SHIFT + DOWN ARROW. Can this be done ? Some direction on how will be appreciated.
  14. @Stearmandriver that's strange. My main way of flying is to search for low vis approaches and I've busted minimums on a few. I've found the vis to be great for this. I'll try some test flights again with 8888. I've been mainly testing TS so it is possible that something changed between versions. Won't get a chance until tomorrow afternoon. Did your visibility settings in ASFS change? Perhaps you clicked easy mode button by mistake? Either case, if it's off I'll post in the beta forum. Thanx
  15. Another P3D user here. While there have been some improvements regarding airliners in MSFS, the majority of them aren't there yet. Only 3 or 4 for me are good enough for my liking, and no one as complete as their P3D equivalents. With P3D, I have a lot of planes, and a lot more complete than their MSFS counterparts. Also, several of my favorite aircraft have yet to be released for MSFS! For sceneries, I prefer to fly to default/AFCAD airports. I was able to force v4/FSX default sceneries into v5; so I no longer have missing parking positions. If I'm not satisfied with the layout, there's almost always an AFCAD available to save the day, and GSX L2 to make sure jetways work properly. While I try to like MSFS, I end up going back to P3D for airliner ops. I feel better there. For GA, there are two things that spoiled me in MSFS: the freeware PMS50 GTN and the default G1000 simulations. Somehow the default FS9 GPS does not satisfy me. I purchased from him a couple of his sceneries (Argentina and Colombia). He doesn't have an actual storefront. All the transactions are made via Paypal. Somehow the Donate button allows him to sell without having to set up a merchant account? No excuse but, if he keeps on selling, he'll need to set up an actual online store. If we keep going to photoreal, there's this guy: I actually replaced FCScenery sceneries with Matthias' ones. Somehow they have better coverage, autogen and night lights. Now, if only I could make the ground to stop appearing grainy...
  16. I did; there's a thread over there that's dedicated to visibility, though it seems most folks on it are more concerned about the amount of bloom around the sun lol. But I get the sense that these depictions are in flux, so hopefully improvements coming. Perhaps it warrants another option or slider - I'm personally perfectly content with all the sun bloom in the world as long as visibility distances are rendered correctly. I imagine it's a minority of simmers who enjoy low vis flying or are concerned about it, but to my mind, a sim being able to accurately depict the requested visibility is just a basic function, something any weather depiction system really needs to be able to do. It's infuriated me since MSFS released that you cannot set visibility manually; I mean, you could do this in FS98 and earlier. It's just a ridiculous omission. But I will say that when MSFS live weather renders fog for a METAR specifying very low vis, it does an absolutely superb job. I guess the trick is finding a way to make presets mimic that.
  17. Thanks for this Mod. Absolutely brilliant upgrade for FPS.
  18. Just wondering if anyone is getting weather tonight? It is all clear everywhere. I posted on discord too.
  19. Let them know at Hifi - if they don't already 🙂
  20. Beechcraft stock panels are pretty standard. You can see few photos below standard layout plus some retrofit G5 and G600
  21. I'd have to agree. It's too hard to use atm. Too many drop down boxes. I'd like to see a single panel open up with tabs at the top for the different frequencies. In the main body would be your selections to either say or click on, eg ready for take off. One can only wish though. Atm I don't use it because of the clunkiness.

  23. @Reset XPDR I just switched over to AutoFPS from DynamicLOD 0.3.1 and it seems you've brought this a long way. Thanks!😁
  24. Yeah I've had this issue with all my flights so far, leaving me at certain altitudes way too long on decent. I've started ignoring it after the initial decent clearance and just following the flight plan down, ATC does not yell at you if you do that. Looking at their discord, a quite a few people have this issue.
  25. The planes are all Beechcraft (except the TBM and VelocityXL of course). So naturally some of the gauges are similar. I'm pretty sure the official logos can't be used so typically there's a gentleman who redoes the cockpit with beech logos etc and releases it as a community addon.
