Still waiting on an answer on screen mode you are using 320 on - you have to use windowed mode guys ? - thanks

Gabriel is right...the aircraft will work in either windowed or full screen mode. I use both - windowed as I'm setting up a flight employing multiple apps (like vPilot) and then full screen inflight.

The developers recommendation stems from experiences with FSX, as Gabriel suggests.

1- SEC F PLN, STEP ALTS, CONSTANT MACH, and RTA functions is INOP at the moment

2- Modifying the cabin des rate on the CRZ PERF page does nothing

3- Diversion to another field by selecting NEW DEST in a lateral reversion, FMGS didn't calculate new fuel and ETA times for the new destination, all the weight and approach speeds etc were blank, Managed mode will not engage

What is more, wind data for each waypoint cannot be entered yet. I really hope these features are added in a timely fashion (comparable to the progress of the Majestic Q400).

At this point I'm really curious what distinguishes the FSL FMGS from the Aerosoft one. It is true that one may not need some of the aforementioned features very often, but I'm also spending that kind of money to make use of functions that no one has come up with so far and that I'd regard essential for this intended level of simulation.

How do you do that Brian..Where do you set the probability %age in P3D?

Sorry, I should clarify that it's only on aircraft that offer it.  At this point I pretty much only use aircraft that have detailed systems and failures, I've found I get bored too quickly with those that don't. That's why I'd gladly pay a higher price for something I'll use for years vs. a cheaper less detailed one that I'll never use again after the newness wears off.

Do you have a list of addon aircrafts Brian that have this feature..

I have been asking for this Probability% since FSX (ACES) days.. just add a freaking %age... cause I could set something like .03% and leave it at that and forget about it... and I do not want to know that I am going to have a failure for that flight. If I know its going to fail, I would not fly that day.. Ha Ha!

Anyone knows what the VAS consumption for SimLabs A320? preferably without the 2D panels. I want to see how much A320 consumes vs 777.

Thanks Guys - much appreciated - should have release P3D version first

The windowed vs. full screen "issue" will be a non-issue in the P3D version as P3D doesn't have a proper full screen anyways. The full screen in P3D is essentially a window without borders and menu.

I've just completed a flight in it using full screen all the way, no issues.

Full screen is no issue at all. I personally can't bear windowed mode and both the Airline2Sim films were shot with full screen.

Yep there are some missing items from the feature list, but a bit of digging with my Airbus guys reveals that step climb and SEC FPLAN are really the only ones worth worrying about at this stage in the game. I don't doubt we'll see them implemented.

Look at what is implemented though and you'll see what they've achieved here. Heck, you even see steam coming off the wing when the OAT is low and the wing heat is on when at the gate. That's pretty cool!

It is a deep simulation to say the least. After spending the last 2 days re-installing FSX and working out some quirks, I finally was able to set up a flight. Started engine 1 fine, engine 2 no hicups and then on the ECAM, hydraulic PTU fault lights up. Turns out you can't start engine 2 within 40 seconds of cargo door operation. The PTU is inhibited from operation during cargo door operation and it is tested during the second engine start, the fault comes on indicating that the PTU is not operating.

I keep reading comments about how more advanced systems don't justify the price.

Guys, and Ladies if any are reading this..

You have to fly this plane to believe how good is it, The simulation of the FBW and handling both in the air and on the ground is amazing. Absolutely ground breaking. If you at all into airliners upgrade if you need to or turn down some settings to experience this plane.

I have not had performance issues with this plane since I deleted my shader folder, I get locked 30 99 percent of the time maybe dip into the low 20's at worse. My rig is a 6700k @4.6 16 GB 3200 ram and a elderly 4gb GTX670. It is about on par with the PMDG 777 as far as performance goes.

I just dont get this whole "early adopters" rubbish... Just let people have it they have waited for 7 years... If there is bugs they will bring it up and you will fix it, whats the big deal ?

I agree. Seems just a fancy phrase for "Paid Public Beta", except open to the lucky ones who reside in the correct time zone.

Other software houses have been slammed on these very forums for doing the same thing.

It's not "rubbish". I don't think the concern is so much with undiscovered bugs in the aircraft itself, but the potential for installer-related problems due to unforeseen issues on customer's computers.

The developers and initial beta testers undoubtedly run stable and optimized PCs, but it is impossible to predict what might happen when a brand-new product is released to the general public, which may be running a broad range of different types and models of CPUs, GPUs, audio and video drivers, antivirus, etc.

If there is an issue with a particular driver, 3rd-party add-on, motherboard chipset, AV program etc., (that might cause the installation to fail), better to find out with a limited release to a relatively small number of public customers, than to find out too late that thousands of customers are having problems. That could easily lead to FSL support staff becoming overwhelmed.

The "early adopter" program seems a common sense way for FSL to get the software in the hands of a reasonably large cross-section of different end-users, while still keeping the initial customer base of a manageable size in case of any serious unforeseen installer problems.

Reading the FSL support forums, I have seen few reports of serious installation problems, and I'd bet that the add-on will become available for any and all takers very soon.

It is about on par with the PMDG 777 as far as performance goes.

Compared to the PMDG 777, how is the VAS?
