Out of curiosity I loaded up Phoenix Arizona. It had been a few months since I flew in out of PHX. Sadly Phoenix is still broken!

For some reason and I believe it just happened randomly a while back the photogrammetry scenery for the Phoenix area just disappeared in FS2024. I believe it still works in FS2020 but in FS2024 it looks pretty awful now.

This one continues to be a head scratcher - a major metro area with this issue and only in 2024 - must be a solid reason behind it.

  • I've been at this since the dawn of 2020 and now 2024 and never had to fix anything after an update. What's beyond stunning to me is just how much stuff is addressed in these updates compared to any

  • To be honest, most of the fixes are above my horizon. I didn’t know there was problems or I don’t understand what they mean. I might be only one or at least one of the few with limited understanding

Been awhile since I ran MSFS 2024. Is the update automatic when you start it up? I thought in the past I needed to click on something for the update?

Was waiting for the Flow update. //42 has just updated their Flow Essential and Pro to 2026.33.5.13 "Added support for MSFS2024 Sim Update 6".

Now, that's super-service.

I've noticed a big performance improvement with update 6. The problem I'm having is with push-backs, for some reason.

Updated to SU6 final and all good. actually better than the recent beta, very smooth and great (actually better) performance. had slight stutters and items popping in with the betas when flying especially into Ini EGLL but not today - and yes, I even saw landing gears on all other planes when coming into and just now when getting out of EGLL for my second leg to EDDL. nice work

I'm getting the same great results here also. I'm at the back end of a 777F flight from Malta to KMEM in FedEx colors. All has been running great. Very nice cloud visuals.

I just landied at iniBuilds KLAX in SU6 and I noticed that a lot of the area around LA Airport is photogrammetry melted. Maybe I was just too low as we know how PG can be.

This is looking towards 24L at KLAX. Maybe it's just the way it is and I never payed attention before.

UPDATE: It was Bijan Seasons Enhanced causing the conflict, not SU6.

Yes, sent him an email last night.

He said ,"Thanks for the report and the screenshots. It looks like the buildings were added after the area was edited. I will fix this in the next update".

Bummer, I guess this grumpy old man will have to toss in the towel with Asobo, still no fix for culling of objects (aircraft wheels, wings, etc.).

Impressive list, but absolutely nothing on my important to fix list. I guess it’s time for me to give up hope and move on to other hobbies.

Selling a bunch WinCtrl, Thrustmaster, Rowsfire hardware if anyone is interested (cheap, PM me).

OMG, that's what it took to get you out of this hobby? 99.9% of everything works very well, and because of this you're out of here? Bye Bye, good luck.

I have FS2024 Steam.

Dumb question: Where can I see the version of the sim?

People are noting better performance and whilst I have not done a full analysis, I can't say that over the flights I've done that I have noticed any improvement whatsoever. However, I think my addon sceneries are the main reason that I don't quite have the performance I would like, so I can't blame MS or ASOBO for that.

Ryzen 5800X3D, Nvidia RTX5080 - 32 Gig DDR4 RAM, 1TB & 2 TB NVME drives - Windows 11 64 bit MSFS 2024 Premium Deluxe Edition Resolution 2560 x 1440 (32 inch curved monitor)

I'm still getting no improvement on AI traffic landing gears, not that I think it was fixed anyway.

Still, the sim is in great shape.

There looks to be quite a few Career fixes. Is Career FINALLY truly a decent and non-frustrating experience?

When people say textures have improved, do they mean the disappointing sort of mushy mountains, even when running LODs of well over 200? I know mileage varies depending on where you are in the world, but I've had to run Atmos with the AB preset 4 just to shield the ugly distant mountains when I'm on the ground. A bit of haze looks better than the FS98 texturing I had on Vancouver Island last month.

Perhaps it's to do with the Bing imagery, but even taking off from Milan Malpensa, the Alps were a big white blob of yuck, while things close to the aircraft looked great.

Is this what people are referring to?
