Hey guys & Chase Plane developer I really need your help, before latest version v0.1.170 released, I got smooth camera moving around using mouse & keyboard.... but after latest version was released I got stuttering and lagging when moving my camera using mouse. When I move my camera using keyboard, its okay & still smooth........but, when I try to move using mouse by holding scroll wheel, it stuttering & lagging ...really annoying. is it because of my CPU usage memory 3 excessive use? or my settings? need your help.

I stumbled upon this video earlier. Even though the 777 is such a large aircraft, it is amazing to see how gracefully the landing gear meets the ground. I find it hard to believe that the landing gear can even support such a large bird. Anyways, I thought I'd share this with you guys. Arzaan Khairulla

Hi to all.First off, I've tried browsing the fora here for answers, but found that none of them worked for me. I've also posted at Aerosofts fora, but without luck. I've now submitted a support ticket with them, but as await their response, I would love to hear anyones thoughs on this. I've qouted my post in Aerosofts forums, as it does the job:"Hi Aerosoft.This is regarding Oslo X, Trondheim X and Stavanger X.The runway lights (both sidemarkings and approach lights) as well as taxi signs, appear only when very close. The runway approach lights appear only when on 2nm final, and the taxisigns appear only 30 meters or so from them. Regarding runway lights, they appear gradually as I approach the airport. Seemes like they appear when within a certain range. The runway sidemarkings appear in pairs as I get closer.Pausing the sim won't make them appear.I've checked default airports as well as Amsterdam Mega Airport with no problems.So, LOD is set to max, and Scenery Complexity is max also. Autogen is dense. Other sliders are far to to the right, but I've also tried moving them way to the left, without any positive result. I always have cloud draw to 60 nm below FL100.I have a smooth running FSX otherwise, and the approaches into these scenerys are smooth (also Oslo - lol).I searched the forums at AVSIM, and found various suggestions to tweaking the CFG. Hello to the Avsim FSX Forum. I haven't been here for quite some time. Now that I'm back, I find I could use some of the knowledge that is so prolific in this forum. I had been running FSX on an older 3.6 Ghz Pentium machine with 4 GB of RAM, a standard 7500 rpm hard drive and dual monitors. I got decent performance with the sliders averaging around the "medium" settings. I got some mild stuttering in turns, particularly in high density scenery areas, but all in all, FSX was playable. I just replaced that older computer with a "hot rod" that has an Asus Sabertooth P67 Rev. B3 motherboard, the Intel Corei7-2600 CPU, 6 GB of fast RAM, a Western Digital Raptor 10,000 rpm hard drive, and an Nvidia GeForce GTX560 Ti graphics card. The clock speed of this system is 3.4 Ghz. This computer breezes through 3D games without even breaking a sweat, of course. And then, there's FSX. Surprisingly, it runs so slowly that it's unplayable. I can disable one of the 2 monitors, back all the sliders down to almost 0, use one of the supplied FSX aircraft and get it smooth enough to play it, although it still has the "jitters" in turns. There is something wrong with this picture. I realize that not all of the capabilities of this system actually benefit FSX, but I would certainly expect it to run that program as well, or better than, my older system. Is there a magic bullet I have not discovered, yet, that might keep FSX from bringing this computer to its knees? Are there others out there using the Corei7-2600 CPU and Nvidia GPU that are having similar problems? And, if the Corei7 and Nvidia users are not having those problems, could those users, or anyone else who has some ideas, share their FSX setup with me so I can see what I might be doing wrong? Thanks a lot for whatever help you can give me. I have been out of pocket for quite some time and was looking forward to getting back into FSX. G'day fellow simmers, Long story short after nearly two years decided to return to the world of flight sim. Started with overclocking the hell out of my 3930K on water however it will only do 4.4Ghz safely. Used Word Not Allowed's guide to tweak FSX.cfg and other settings. Everything went smooth and I was very happy with performance purchased REX Direct texture and Essentials plus and Majestic Q400 with all these even in heavy thunderstorm nearly maxed out settings I am getting 20-25 fps so naturally I was over the moon I was finally enjoying my flight sim again. HOWEVER i just remembered that I have purchased PMDG 737NGX so fired it up and my enthusiasm dropped by a large margin suddenly I was getting between 7-12 fps max not enjoyable at all. OK I thought the new 777 must be well optimized so I went ahead and purchased the beast. The aircraft is the best I've ever experienced but fps is just the same as the 737 if not worse. This low performance generally only occurs with the 737 in the VC, external is snappy and reasonably quick however the 777 is sluggish even on the outside switching to outside view it takes about 10 seconds to draw the aircraft switching back to VC I get black windshields and it takes approx 5-10 seconds to draw the view. Need to also add I use ORBX scenery and very detailed airports. System: i7 3930K @ 4.4Ghz on water temperatures are well below 80c GPU Powercolor R9 280x Turbo factory overclocked. (had to roll back driver to older version due to the Steve's DX 10 fix spiking issue 12.8 I think) 16GB DDR3 1600mhz RAM True 850 watt PSU Gigabyte X58-UD3 mobo SSD dedicated for FSX my .cfg is below any suggestion is greatly appreciated as I am dying to fly this aircraft. Hello all, I've been flying on FSX for quite some time now and have been enjoying it massively. I have noticed however, that a quite annoying problem occurs when I'm transitioning from cruise to approach in the areas stated in the title. Once I get below ~25,000 feet (usually) the game begins rather violent and disruptive stuttering. These stutters happen once every 2-3 seconds typically and can stop the game for as short as 1 second, and as long as 30-45. During this time, the game goes non-responsive, and my FSINN windows or any other open windows white-out before it all returns to normal and runs another whole 2 seconds :huh: . Naturally, this is quite irritating and makes the game pretty much unplayable when flying into these areas, which are very unfortunately highly trafficked by my VAs of choice... Anyone with tips would be greatly appreciated!!! (P.S, I do not own payware versions of any of these airports, and the stutters happen even on the lightest aircraft like the Trike) Thank you!

Hello, Please help me find my FSX bottleneck. Everything is fine mid air but when my plane is moving through a downloaded detailed scenery (f.e. Aerosoft airports) it gets really laggy. MBO: ASROCK 970 PRO 3 R2.0 CPU: AMD FX X6 66300 3.5GHZ, SIX CORE VGA: RADEON R9 390X, 8GB DDR5 HDD: SEAGATE ST1000DM003, 7200RPM RAM: 8GB, DDR3 OS: Win 10, 64bit I've read countless posts and some of them suggest that FSX has trouble utilizing multiple AMD cores. Correct? If yes, any way I could fix that? Thank you!

What am I missing? I have searched the forums, tried many tips and tricks to get my FS9 running smooth with the new gaming computer I have and I am very disappointed with my results. I am just wondering if anyone out there has any ideas or additional suggestions? I am running three 24" screens with triple head to go, with all my views in windowed mode. I fly in 2d panel cockpit view. Here are my computer specs: Windows 7 64 Bit, Intel i7 - 4770k cpu @ 3.50 ghz, 8g ram, Directx 11, geforce gtx 970 4g At first I thought it was because I was at an intense airport, fsdream team's lax. So I played around with settings, turned off all my ai, lowered all my autogen scenery, no shadows, all the lowest weather settings, target framerate 25. I use AA settings in the grahics card. I had the same jerky movement. Then I removed fsdream team's scenery and used the default airport, same results. Went to another default airport, yeg and still, same jerky frames. So I am still thinking it's a settings thing somewhere. Like I said, I've tried so many tips and tricks with no luck. Rebuilt my cfg, removed and added back scenery, tried the dxtfixer... Any other suggestions? I think about moving to FSX but hate the thought of all the money I paid for added scenery in FS9 and starting over, learning a new flight sim.

So, I had x plane 11 on my laptop: CPU: 1.8 GHz RAM: 8gb 750gb HDD And I just switched it over to my desktop: CPU: 3.8 GHz RAM: 8gb 1tb HDD, newly formatted and a brand new install of windows 10 * My desktop does not have an upgraded graphics card nor does my laptop * All settings are on minimum I have not run any tests on my desktop yet to see the usage of the cpu and other items. I dont believe my cpu is overheating because everything else runs perfect. This just doesnt make sense to me. I can actually fly a plane on my laptop with a slower processor, but not on my desktop with the same RAM and nearly twice the processing power. Any ides are welcome. Id rather not shell out extra cash for a graphics card, but I might be willing to purchase more RAM.

Hey all, pretty much what the title says. I will do a flight from point A ---> B and my FPS will gradually start falling, especially at "the end" (approach & landing). However if I exit the game and load back into the destination (or departure) airport, with all of the same settings as before, my FPS is once again "normal". Let me give you an example: I did a VERY short flight (only about 1hr - keep in mind the FPS drop is similar during much longer flights) from LJLJ (Ljubljana, Slovenia - Scenic Routes) ---> LKPR (Prague, Czech Republic - Tailstrike Designs) with the PMDG 737-800. I have a very nice system (5900X, RTX3090, 32GB RAM, 980 Pro, etc. etc.). Anyways, I started with 48 FPS (I have V-Sync enabled and my frames locked at 33 % to avoid conflicts due to a G-Sync monitor) and landed with only about 24ish. After shutdown I decided to disable FSLTL traffic to see if I maybe just need to restart FSLTL Traffic. The FPS only went up to about... 30ish. I then proceeded to close the game and launch it, spawn back in with the same weather, settings and mods (yes, even FSLTL was active), and was getting 46ish FPS.. Basically, I'll usually be getting anywhere from 60-70 FPS with my FPS unlocked and then it drops to anywhere from 40-50 FPS with FSLTL Traffic (for most bigger airports), but never bellow 30 FPS. I try to configure my settings this way, but obviously I don't do hundreds of test flights just to see what kind of drop I should really expecting.. Does anyone know how to mitigate this "issue"? So I have the Thrustmaster T.Flight Hotas X for a joystick + throttle. It has a swivel thing on the joystick to pan around the cockpit, external views, etc. Just yesterday, it simply stopped working. The joystick was plugged in, I changed nothing. It just stopped working. I reset the controller and FSX + a restart on my PC. The joystick appeared to be working okay until I tried to pan around my cockpit. It now pans much slower than before. It's super slow! It appears to have extreme lag too. But when I hold shift and pan with the mouse, I have perfect frames! What could be wrong with my controller. Any insight would be great as I'm pretty lost here.

Hi all, I've been flying the NGX now for the past few months and it's been a great experience, but just yesterday when loaded up the aircraft, I noticed that when I moved my mouse there was a delay with the movement of the mouse cursor on screen, and I usually had to press things twice for them to activate. This happens mostly when the FMC is up (Shift + 3) but it also happens in flight and on the ground. I get on average around 16 fps in the VC, I've tried replacing the batteries in my mouse ( my mouse works fine outside of the simulator), restarting the simulator and my computer, but nothing has worked. Any suggestions?

Hello everyone. I am experiencing a rather peculiar issue with FSX. Just for some background, I have the regular box version, SP1 and SP2 installed. My PC Specs are as follows: i7 4790k @ stock GTX 960SC 8GB DDR3 FSX is installed on a 1TB WD Blue I just built this PC in May, and have been slowly installing my addons, and purchasing new ones since that time. About a month ago I would say, I began experiencing an issue where during a flight, If I want to access a setting via the menu bar, once clicked, the menu selected will take 2-3 minutes to load. After that, once a button is selected, another 1-2 minutes for the task to be completed. I dealt with it for a while, but couldn't take it anymore. I uninstalled FSX completely thinking that it may be an installation or corruption issue, or an issue with an addon I had installed. After I completed the re-installation of FSX, SP1, and SP2, I ran the program in windowed mode, with no addons, and voila it was fixed. BUT, the problem still persists in Fullscreen mode ONLY, and I prefer flying in that mode as frames are better. I don't know where to look next. I am using an FSX.CFG from Matt Davies, so I can try to test the issue with a default CFG and see if the problem is fixed. Thanks for any advice! Mark [EDIT] : I am NOT using Matt Davies CFG in this new install. It is default. I had forgotten that I never replaced the CFG.

Hello all! I am trying to fly with the PMDG 737 and when i try to taxi to the runway it seems that it does half left or half right not complete even though my joystick is completley turned left or right. i have recalibrated and autorudder is enabled. It happens with all aircraft's such as PMDG, A2A and default. Am using P3D V4.2 Thanks!

I have just updated to Ver. 3 of Fs2Crew Voice for Majestic Dash8 and was hoping that the previous time lapse (several seconds) between my voice command and the FO actions would have been fixed. Unfortunately this is not so.I am not saying that this is a fault of the program unless of course many others are experiencing the same problem. It could very well be a fault of my own system. I also have Fs2Crew for PMDG NGX and DO NOT have this lag. In fact the action I ask for is almost instantaneous here. I was wondering if there is a fix for this or whether other users are experiencing the same problem. Specs. I7-980X. 12 GB RAM and GTX780 running on 3 windows Nvidia 2 D surround. Thank you, Charles

Just wanted to share some info that some may not know, which I found out today doing some testing..... At major airports, 'Aircraft tab: Aircraft casts shadows on the ground' checked will cause a large drop in frame rate ONLY with 'Traffic tab:Airport Vehicle Density' set On i.e. >None. The reason for this are the in 4 'VEH_air_bagcart' folders/files within the SimObjects\GroundVehicles folder. Normally for performance, you have to turn off the shadows or turn off the ground vehicles. You can have shadows with 'some' ground vehicles by moving out these 4 folders, then you can enjoy remaining ground vehicles (planes too of course!) with shadows On with minimal frame rate hit. FYI, 'VEH_air_bagcart1' contains quite a few models, including the pushback vehicle. All this info begs the question, what are the bagcart models doing that causes such a huge frame rate drop with shadows and can this be properly fixed?
