  1. This thread is not dead. I’m here! You can play Flight Unlimited 3 with amazing quality on Windows 10. With all the updates below your airports will be populated, and Air Traffic Control will be realistic. Try to put your jet at 6 miles off the airport in the right direction to an approach or land your biplane without tumbling your nose to the ground. All that is needed to install and run the game on windows 10: If you download Flight Unlimited 3 from this link https://www.old-games.com/ the game will work flawlessly with no bugs on windows 10. There is a serious bug with ISO files found on internet (it’s the original version probably). Radio channels get stuck or blocked with an horrible noise on many voices. The software downloaded from Old-Games.com, apparently a "Sold Out" modified version, doesn’t present the radio issue. The radio works perfectly with rogue or bass voices! Installation tricks: https://www.pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Flight_Unlimited_III Install on windows 10 applying “two layers”: Install ddfix 1.5.13 https://www.ttlg.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143020 with the help of HxD Hex Editor, change ddraw.dll by ddfix.dll. Follow instructions. This improves DirectX working. Install dgVoodoo2 2.7 from this link http://dege.freeweb.hu/dgVoodoo2/dgVoodoo2.html This enables the game to play on Windows 10. Dgvoodoo works with ReShade 4.7 https://nearfile.com/games/reshade/ to improve dramatically graphic quality. (Settings for example: prod80_03_FilmicTonemap | Pirate_Bloom | Pirate_Curve | Pirate_Vibrance | Vibrance_fx | Pirate_LumaSharpen). In this link https://library.avsim.net/index.php?CatID=lgfu3&Sort=Author&ScanMode=1&Page=1 you have Ansgar Avermeyer AI Package, and a few more planes to install directly, as one Boing 747. Christopher Low has uploaded Seattle 2006 and SanFran 2006 to his MediaFire account. You can download them using the links below: Seattle 2006 http://www.mediafire...j59kocbuja241tn SanFran 2006 http://www.mediafire...mdoiqam8o6127y7 Manual is here: http://alfozavr.wdfiles.com/local--files/fu3-downloads/FU3_Manual.pdf One more link, (search for "Looking Glass: Flight Unlimited III") https://www.flightsim.com/vbfs/fslib.php?do=displaysearch In FU3 there is no AntiAliasing (AA) "out of the box" for jagged lines. The turnaround is to apply AA setting in DGVOODOO2. Sadly, this ends up in another issue: white lines appear in most plane cockpits. You can remove this white line downloading CockpitDesigner from the link before. Edit blue rectangle. Increase one pixel the biggest number on X or Y axis. https://gpdev.net/Downloads.html Play it in 1024 x 768, with 3D acceleration driver activated.
  2. I have enjoyed a pretty stable flight-sim experience for quite some time, starting with FSX Gold and moving to Prepar3D V1. And despite being an Orbx fan-boi and owning practically everything, my system was responsive and generally smooth. So, naturally, I thought I would change it and upgrade from my GTX 780 to a GTX 1080. Did the usual, such as wiping the shader files, letting P3D create a new cfg file, etc. Well, things were looking good for exactly two days and then Windows Creator update happened. Never had an issue with Windows 10 before, and I generally accept the updates as part and parcel of keeping current with respect to patches, malware avoidance, etc, etc, etc. Now I get errors all over the place, both within P3D V3.4 and blue screens, and ONLY FOR P3D - nothing else is effected. When I run a test like 3DMark it shows my system is more capable than 93-percent of all tested systems, and I can hear the fans working hard. Yay for me... A summary of blue-screen errors includes: CLOCK_WATCHDOG_TIMEOUT IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL (this seems to be a favorite) DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED (this suggests that the video card driver was "lost" during operation) SYSTEM_SERVICE_EXCEPTION KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED and a raft of P3D errors. Unhandled exception in .NET menus.dll KERNELBASE.dll g2d.dll NVSVC64.DLL_unloaded NVI2.dll ntdll.dll and everybody's favorite "unknown". Clearly, my system is sick. I think I will just sit this one out for a week or so and move to V4. Running all SSD, so don't have the room for parallel flight sims. Weird how these things happen. I retired as of April 1st, and on my last "commute" home my faithful 67 Mercury Comet decided to be a blue ###### and stranded me a mile from home. Still haven't fully isolated that mess either! Good thing I am retired...
  3. Hi, I bought Pilot2Atc a couple of days ago. It worked fine for a little bit then it stopped working. I would click on the icon and it would seem like it was loading but then it would not come up. My question is whether Pilot2Atc is compatible with Windows 10(which I have). If not, which operating system is it compatible with? Thanks for the advice. Michael Crichlow
  4. Hey guys, when attempting to fly the Flight One Super 80 Pro in FSX:SE, I am getting an error where the plane constantly stutters when the VNAV is engaged. It just recently started doing this, though I have had stutters from the plane in the past, but they eventually went away, or didn't exist in the first place. I don't think that it is a hardware issue, as it does it with no other plane, PMDG, CLS, etc., and it doesn't do it any other time, just when VNAV is engaged, but I will list my specs below just in case. FSX is also installed on a separate drive, but it has been for quite some time, and I flew the bird a few times with my current hardware configuration with no issue. I have reinstalled the plane more times than I would like to mention, reinstalled FSX to make sure there were no issues with the settings there, and even dug up an old copy of a Prepar3d licence I bought a few months ago to see if it would work there. None of that helped. I'm thinking it is an issue between Windows 10 and the new Super80 hotfix 1.2.1c, as it doesn't stutter when the old gauge file is in place, though gauges don't show up then, still rendering the plane "unflyable". Really hope I can get this working, as it would be a waste of $60 if not. I have a video below showing the stutter. *NOTE* I have already posted in the official Flight 1 Super 80 Pro private forums, but it seems that my thread has gone dead there after a week, which is why I'm posting here. Processor: i5-4400 Memory: 8GB GPU: NVIDIA GTX 950 SC+ OS: Win 10 https://youtu.be/Zo129ZvwbAA
  5. Hey guys, So far I use to fly on FSX Simulator. Now that I upgraded my computer I want to install P3D. But my first indecision is whether to install Win 8.1/64 or 10/64, what do you think is better for the simulator performance? Thank you
  6. Hi All, I just got the Windows 10 Fall Update 1709 and I use FSLabs A320 on FSX Steam Edition. However I have been getting quite a lot of CTD's and I get this weird error called "Cannot create child window" and it shuts down FSX. Can someone help please? It used to not happen on my previous version of windows. Also sometimes I get the error 0xC000020D . If anyone wants a look at my FSX cfg I have pasted it below:- [GRAPHICS] SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED_10=1693751040 SHADER_CACHE_PRIMED=1693751040 D3D10=1 TEXTURE_MAX_LOAD=2048 NUM_LIGHTS=8 AIRCRAFT_SHADOWS=1 7. Dear all, Does anyone uses the external FPS limiter for the Radeon graphics card on the Windows 10 operating system? If so could you please share your experience with the rest of the community about setting it up in Windows 10 and a like. The reason I'm asking this is that before Windows 10 I could use the software Radeon_external_FPS_limiter (found it on Boyote tweaking site), but since Windows 10 the mentioned software doesn't work. Also is there some other similar software that could work on Windows 10? Thank you all in advance for the helpful tips and suggestions. Safe simming Marko
  8. Does anyone have the above combo working? I tried moving to W10 over the weekend, and ended up with a totally clean install on my HDD. However, I used DSR in W7 (x4.0) and wanted to use it in W10 as well but it doesn't seem to work - the mouse cursor enlarges but that's about it. I have tried restarting P3D and going between full screen and windowed but to no avail. Any suggestions before I pull the plug on the great W10 experiment and go back to W7?
  9. [sOLVED] Mistakenly moved the Prepar3d folder to a different folder after the installation completed. Using the Repair function in the P3D installer, it put key files to the original folder, which was the issue. I moved back all my files to the original folder, and the PMDG installer now detects P3D. Hey guys, I have windows 10 on my computer, with several SSDS for programs and games. I have my OS on SSD #1, P3D on SSD #2. When windows 10 first came out, there were issues with using their "upgrade" program, so I elected to do a fresh install of Windows 10 instead. Well it turns out the OS will not activate because it didn't first go through the upgrade. I also tried to play P3D, however it was broken since I believe it stores a few essential files on the SSD that has the OS on it. Fine, I uninstall all of my flight sim products and even P3D. I do a quick install of Windows 8, and use the Windows 10 upgrade to get my OS activated. Here I am with Windows 10, and now a fresh install of P3D sitting on SSD 2, and practically a fresh install of Windows 10 on SSD 1. I install of my flight sim products: FSDT airports, REX, ORBX, ASN, Aerosoft Airbus, etc. They all install perfectly. However, the PMDG 737 for P3D installer says it can not find Prepar3d.exe when I open the installer. I have tried running the installer as Admin, and in compatibility mode as well. So, I'm not exactly sure if this is an issue with the installer on Windows 10, or something on my computer side. I've heard people say PMDG aircraft work on Windows 10, but they installed it on Windows 7 or 8, then upgraded to Windows 10, so naturally you'd assume it would work. In my case, its the installer that is having issues finding P3D. Any help would be appreciated. Again, this is a fresh install of P3D 2.5 Version 12946.
  10. I have recently upgraded from Windows 7 to 10 but although all else works FS9 has a problem. Using disk 4 I can get nothing but by inserting the no cd file the programme loads to the central splash screen as normal and then the usual wait for the Settings/Flight panel. However, all I get is a black screen with a very much enlarged blue "wait" circle and eventually a totally black screen with a much enlarged white cursor arrow. To exit I have to type Ctrl-Alt-Del which gives me the various exit options BUT whichever one I select I get an instantaneous flash of the Settings/Flight panel in very large format. It is possible that somewhere the screen dimension settings are corrupted with windows 10 but how can I change them when I cannot get to the panel to make the changes? Can anybody help? Especially someone who has switched from Windows 7 to Windows 10 Thank in advance for your help.
  11. I've been using ScreenShooter v1.6 for about 10 years to take multiple screenshots while flying in FS9 and FSX. When you hit Print Screen, this little utility automatically captures the screen image in a jpg, assigns a filename, and stores it in the folder of your choice. It's been great to take multiple screenshots while flying without having to paste and save each image individually. Now, after upgrading to Windows 10, this utility still launches, but doesn't capture any screenshots and store them anymore. Does anyone with Win10 use a similar utility that works in Win10 to capture multiple screenshots while flying? Thanks for any recommendations.
  12. Downloaded 2.2.1.7, and everything seems to work well. I can talk to ATC, I hear ATC. The Grammar Helper works, where I can say the phrases, and it all ends up good. But as soon as I try and open the Trainer I get this The normal Speech Training is working, so it's no error there. Permissions are good. Pretty much everything is great, except that I can't train the freaking program. If I can fix this if will for sure buy it, it's awesome. This is my settings in the Settings that the prompt asks for: EDIT: Updated to 2.2.1.8, but same problem.
  13. The latest W10 update crashed my system big time requiring a clean install..... yes that's right, start from scratch with backups and apps. and because the latest update is a big stepup for W10, there is no roll back. So the problem I have is, when FSX is installed and I put in my Product key everything is fine. Then when I install the Acceleration disc, the wheels fall off of the cart. I get this product activation error and FSX loads in demo mode. Have fun for 30 minutes then pack it in. a. has anybody else experienced this ? b. any known cure ? Thanks John
  14. System: i2700k stock clock 16gb RAM Nvidia 970gtx Raid0 / Striped SSD drive for simulator Yesterday, after multiple attempts by MS to push my Win10 install from Anniversary to Creators, they finally succeeded, being the crafty software engineers they are. Being quite security conscious these days these same engineers quickly patched my machine for the HW bug Spectre/Meltdown (or visa-versa). This patch, especially on older HW like mine predicts noticeable impacts especially around things like file I/O and other predictive heavy ops. Immediately after Win10 informed me I had been patched I ran my setup of P3d V4 on my HW described above. First perception is frame rate reductions, but that does not seem consistently reproducible. What is reproducible to me at least is the sense that something just kicked the ‘guts’ out of my sim. I always believed that P3d v4 biggest 64bit gain was low-end torque for lack of a batter word. IOW frames drop to high teens, but movement is still perceived as fluid. Now for me, not so much. So again, is it me, or...?
  15. Hi Guys, I installed the Level D 767 on my FSX SE and I find the sim to hang, stop responding for a while, then responds again and so on. I also find that when I turn on the landing or taxi lights it'll begin to hang. I use Windows 10 OS, but I'm not sure if that's the reason. Any help would be appreciated ~Asif
  16. hello there! i just got fs2crew yesterday, and i love what it can do so far with the button control. the issue im having is that neither windows nor fs2crew is catching any sound from my mic. however, my mic does work. i know this because i fly on vatsim and talk on teamspeak 3 very often with this mic. i use a $5 dollar headset from the Target dollar section that has a little microphone thing on the wire, and i believe it is operated by realtec. It does not have a usb, it connects to the computer via 3.5mm jack. all help will be appreciated and happy flying to all in this new year!
  17. 4I have now installed FS 2004 7 times from my disks but still cannot get it to function correctly. The loading procedure was FS 9 into C:\OS, 9.1 update, file not mentioned. When I click on the icon I am always asked to say yes to to Administrator start. That's ok. However, everything loads correctly, with sound etc. I leave the flight on the Cessna 172 and open the throttle and the aircraft starts to move. BUT if I touch the "S" key to change view the top of the screen changes but the panel remains. This happens on every aircraft. Can anybody help? I have deleted every non-FS9 aircraft to ensure no pollution from that source. However, with hidden files viewable I cannot trace the FS9.cfg file.
  18. All LINDA users are advised that no compatibility testing with Windows 10 has been carried out with the new Windows 10 release with any of the compatible flight simulators (FSX, FSX-SE or P3D). I have no intention to change my working or development systems until the new operating systems is proven to operate flawlessly with my setup and development tools. However, if LINDA users have or plan to cross to the dark side, please report your experience and success/failures here. There is nothing I will be able to assist but it will help others.
  19. Hi guys! I've bought and installed FSX in my computer in 2013 when my computer is still using Windows 8. Since then, the OS was upgraded to 8.1 and recently to Windows 10. However, FSX kept on crashing throughout these 2 years. Around 30 minutes after opening it, FSX suddenly does not respond and crashed. Below are my computer's specs: Computer Model: HP Pavilion 23 All-in-one PC Processor: Intel Core i3-3220 CPU @ 3.30 GHz Quad Core RAM: 8GB Graphics: NVIDEA GeForce 610 Disk Drive: Hitachi HDS721010CLA630 It's useless to buy a better processor because the processor in an all-in-one PC cannot be changed... Can I run FSX on my computer smoothly or shall I just by a better computer? Thank you for your generous help!
  20. Hy everyone. I recently find out that in order to achieve the best results in terms of how smooth the simulator is I have to install some external fps limiter. This is especially when using Radeon graphic card. So I installed the app, configured fps limit externaly to 30 fps, than in the sim itself configured internal fps limiter to unlimited. When I start flight it simply want apply that 30 fps limit instead it runs freely varying considerably depending on the aircraft I fly. My question is why is this happening and does I missed something in the configuration and installation process? Regards Marko Lisica
  21. Hi all I recently made a clean install of Windows 10 on a new hard disc, and all is fine - with one exception: everytime I start FSX I now get the following error message: 'The FS2AUDIO.DLL Failed to load with Error Code 0x7e. Be sure the FSAUDIO.DLL is in the \Windows\System32 folder, then restart the application.' The problem is that this file doesn't exist anywhere in my system, and never has. In Win7 all was fine, despite it having no FS2AUDIO.dll either. (I still have my old Win7 hard disc with all programs, and made a search). I have tried the following, without success: 1. Searched the net for a possible solution, found nothing that helped. 2. Copied a FS2AUDIO.DLL from an old b-737 download, however this file is completely ignored by RAASPRO. (Also copied it to SysWOW64) 3. Made a repair of the Acceleration installation. 4. Uninstalled and reinstalled the PMDG 777. (Version 1.10.6492) 5. Rebuilt the Fsx.cfg. So what have I overlooked? Best regards Bo T.
  22. Hello Pilots & Carenado Experts! I own amongst to other aircrafts, the fabulous Carenado F406 Caravan II. It is a very fine aircraft and my favorite plane. Furthermore, I bought the Flight1 GTN 750 and have it successful integrated (F1GTN750F406II.exe) into the F406. Everything is working fine, SimStarter NG, ASN, the F406 including the GTN 750 and all my fantastic sceneries and tools but ... ... the included Weather Radar of the F406 does not work! I can press every button, turn the controller, especially to the ON Position, but the display remains blank. The device is definitely without function! There is nothing that I have changed to the plane, except the GTN 750 integration. By the way, I only fly with my Oculus Rift DK2, so I use only the VC and no 2D gauges! Now to my Questions: 1. Is there really a full weather Radar integrated or is it only compatible and I have to/must buy this WR tool? 2. Is there someone else with this problem? 3. Is there a solution to get the device run? I use for example the following Addons/Specs: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit AMD FX8370 MSI GeForce GTX 970 4GD5T OC (newest driver) 16 GByte RAM FSX Steam Edition (everything on a 500GB SSD) Carenado F406 Caravan II Active Sky Next (via Steam) Flight1 GTN 750 SimStarterNG FlyInside (for my Oculus Rift DK2) ..and much more I dont use DirectX 10, only DirectX9 settings (because the Rift DK2). I have a zipped File with some INI´s and CFG´s but I dont know, how I could upload it inside this thread? I hope someone can/would help me! Best wishes from EDHK, Marco P.S.: Sorry for my bad english but school is over since a lot of years!
  23. Obviously Windows 10 is still under development, but does anybody know if LM development plans include Windows 10? They skipped 8 and 8.1 not surprising IMO, but 10 does look promising. Thanks!
  24. Hi everyone, first off I would like to congratulate the FS2Crew team for the great tool they developed UGCX, it's been a must for every flight I take and I must say the last update was really grand. However, I have noticed a weird behavior ever since I updated to the last version 1.7 of UGCX. When I preview my pushback route it forces me to a 2D Top-Down view of my aircraft which I really don't want to since sometimes having a heavy scenery and some decent amount of traffic can take it's toll on my CPU however as long as I don't load my aircraft external view the CPU and disk usage are within normal levels (I run P3Dv4.5 in well over 25 fps) so if I want to preview my route I am forced to go into external top-down view that load my external aircraft view and deteriorate my fps, yet that's not my main issue. After I check my pushback route and make sure everything is fine, if I use anything that words with windows explorer (explorer.exe) it gets drastically lagged. It's like typing, scrolling, task bar, any sort of windows UI animation is working in less that 1 fps. I tried restarting my explorer.exe many times but it's still the same (CPU usage at 75% and disk usage at 6%). It gets super frustrating because of how I use my pc to get work done during cruise but now I can't get anything done. PS: only windows animation that gets lagged out, the sim is working pretty smooth, every other application I have running is still super smooth as usual. This only happens when I start using the preview pushback option, otherwise everything is working well (including the windows animations). I'm running P3Dv4.5 on windows 10, aircraft used is PMDG 777. I really hope this gets figured out soon because, given the current situation, I need to get a lot of work done from home. Thank you, stay safe everyone. Riad Mohamed.
  25. Hello All, I'm trying to build my Opencockpits setup, but I have stuck at the beginnings, which drives me crazy. SIOC recognizes the USB expansion card, but SIOC monitor don't - the window is blank. I had a lot of difficulties with windows 10 before (especially with flightsim hardwares), so I think it is a windows issue too. I have tried the following: - disable energy saving for this USB device through a registry hack (worked with Saitek Radio panel) - tried to use another master card - tried to connect master card to another connector on usb expansion card - disabled the firewall - tried to run as administrator - tried compatibility mode (win 8, 7, XP, nothing worked) - tried to reboot, change usb port, uninstall-reinstall SIOC - tried different versions of SIOC (5.x, currently 6.0 B8) - tried different versions of SIOC monitor (1.0, 1.4, currently 2.0) - tried to combine SIOC and SIOC monitor versions Now I'm out of ideas. Is anybody encountered with this already..?
