Hello Avsim Community, My sounds for the PMDG 737 are broken (no vid provided). Some interior noises eg: Flap motors, fire bell, AP disengage, etc can be heard outside the aircraft & some exterior noises are heard inside (can't remember). Also, I can only hear the interior & exterior "Motor" noises throughout the flight (when the engines are running too). I also can't hear the engine noises either, even at takeoff, cruise, landing, etc I cannot hear the engine noises AT ALL during flight. I have the SP1d service pack installed. By the way, I had to re-install the aircraft when installing SP1d (This issue was present before) I really hope anyone knows how to fix it. (I hope @PMDG replies - I doubt it) TrainNutter -
The house PMDG 737 800 initialise at all times, but after downloading a Airline livery from either de CD or Operations Center these initialise the first time but not when attempting to use the same livery the second time what could be the problem, this only occurs with the 737, 800 either WL or the other, I have no such problem with the 737-900 liveries.

I was wondering what is the maximum (safe flight) range of the Boeing 737-800 PMDG, that it can still have like 2000lbs in the reserve. And can I actually make a transatlantic flight with it? Thanks in advance Mixer

Hi, I’m new to these forums but I’m a relatively experienced PMDG 737-800 pilot, I was wondering if anybody here knew the procedures Norweigan used whilst they operated 737-800s transatlantic and what they use whilst operating their 737 MAX 8s transatlantic. To my knowledge they use a cost index of 13 but I know nothing else of the procedures. If anyone knows anything about ETOPS and long flights on the 737 in general please let me know, Thanks, Ben Geoghegan

Hi, I am here again today to bring up a problem; whenever I set the approach and press the "APP" button on the MCP, instead of saying LOC and G/S, it says FAC and GP. This happens for all ILS approaches. I looked this up online, but there really wasn't anything except for a mention of an IAN approach. I have no idea what that is, but I just want this fixed, because I am annoyed of it. Also it seems like I can't do an autoland with the 737. Here is an image:I hope someone can help me with this. I have set up my 737NG for P3DV4 without a problem, except one. I have worked through the FMC setup for the PMDG aircraft, paying close attention to the sound settings. I have set the sound to come through my headset. I also configured the aircraft through the FMC to read out all heights below 1000 ft until landing. I have set the volume to be above 60 (using the scale of 0- 100). All sounds, except the callouts seem to work correctly. Any suggestions on what I might need to do in order to hear the callouts during landing?

Hi, all - I am having an issue when trying to load saved flights in the 737 NGX. I am using FSX:SE and have been flying the 737-800 WL Delta livery. First off, the plane loads up and flies perfectly. I have had zero issues when starting a new flight on the ground or during a flight. I have been trying to save and reload flights in order to free up some VAS. My current process has been to start a flight with a cold and dark cockpit, get the plane running and in flight, and get to TOC. Once stabilized in cruise I would save the game (have tried both through the FSX file menu as well as using FSUIPC autosave). Then I quit FSX completely and restart. When FSX loads I click Free Flight (my default flight is still the base trike flight), and then click Load. Selecting the save, it loads up and I see the plane in the right spot in the sky and the right attitude -- however, the second the panel configuration loads, all heck breaks loose. Once the green bar appears and I actually see the panel state restored, the plane begins violently oscillating, both side to side and up and down. Immediately the "BANK ANGLE" annunciator is going off, and the plane is all over the place. Once the countdown stops, the plane is just uncontrollable and usually results in an overstressed failure within seconds. I've tried to hit slew once the flight loads, which does hold the plane in position...however, once the countdown is over the plane is inoperable, the engines are not started and the displays are dark. I'm not really sure what to do at this point -- I don't know what would send the plane into such violent maneuvers -- it isn't that the engines haven't started yet and the plane has started to nose down and glide (which seems to be normal for most users loading a flight), but rather it is as if there is some crazy control input being sent to the plane. I've tried loading with my yoke and pedals disconnected to make sure they weren't sending some bad signals, but same thing. I've uninstalled/reinstalled the NGX, same result. When I get home today I will try a few things - first, saving and loading a flight while on the ground and seeing how the plane reacts. Two, trying a different livery and seeing if that helps anything. If anyone has any ideas for how I can get this to work I would be very appreciative. I'm happy to send logs/save files or any other info you need to help troubleshoot this. Thank you for the help, Jim Armstrong -
I bought the PMDG 737-800/900 from the official PMDG website, and it has been working properly for the first 2 months or so. (I play on FSX:SE) Around 2 weeks ago a problem started occurring. On (some) flights, (maybe something like 2 in 5 flights) the virtual cockpit stops responding to my mouse clicks mid-flight wile cruising. The 2D panels work fine, but the 2D cockpit looks something like this: (thanks @qantas747) I literally can't use anything while in VC. I tried changing camera views using (A) and getting an outside view of the aircraft then going back in, but nothing worked. I tried changing to full screen since I play in windowed mode, and it was responsive again. But once I clicked on one button, it would go back to unresponsive mode. I changed back to windowed mode and the same thing happened. But once I changed to full screen again it would stay unresponsive no matter how many times I switched between the two modes. The same problem happens if I change the scenery while already loaded in-game. This problem is way too annoying and even more frustrating because I play online nowadays. If I play offline its not too big of a deal as I can save the flight, exit the game, relaunch the game, load the flight again and it would work. It is still frustrating either way. I have already submitted a ticket, but would like to hear your opinions.
